Inoa is a priest with immeasurable faith in people, but no mind for combat. While he's not a pacifist, the man prefers relaxing, nature, and prayer to anything like fighting, arguing, or stepping out of his comfort zone. He is easily scared, but he strives to do the right thing regardless of his own fear. While he won't usually step up to the plate and defend someone directly, he'll do his best to inspire others and not stay silent in the face of adversity. It doesn't always work, especially because he views himself as weaker than the rest or can't decide what to do, but some things are unshakable for him: the power of prayer and the strength of faith. He can seem emotionally detached at times if he gets too afraid, simply because the situation overwhelms him.

He does enjoy teasing other people, but he's still naive as to how the world really works. Where he lacks in wisdom, he makes up for in empathy and chivalry. Inoa takes things with patience if they are peaceful enough and he loves to work with people to develop working friendships. He can be hard to get a definitive decision from and is sometimes easily spooked, but innocent pranks don't seem to phase him as much as the fear of stepping outside of town does; instead, he absorbs himself in the activities of the church and those within it. B i o :

Inoa's life started as the son of a small family of only a few others - his mother and father, and his two baby siblings. They lived not too far from a large valley with a wide river below it which served as their source of water and food. People from their home would descend into the valley daily to support the small village's needs and the growing number of children within it, offering a prayer to nature as they did so. Each morning was greeted with song, and each evening closed with dance and music, a happy, yet simple religious life instilled into the youth of the village. As time went on, the village gained visitors from the outside - travelers, adventurers, and people wearing all different types of clothing. Inoa's family were the primary hosts of these types of people, and they were often given clothing as gifts to either distribute or keep which Inoa took great interest in. Often times after a few travelers would come, he would ask to see their clothes and then ask about their history or culture, since it was so different - and fascinating to the youth. With each new band of travelers, some stayed, and grew the village by one more home, and one more worker. The song and dance varied a little, and the faith was spread to those who were new largely impart by Inoa and the other children. All was at peace and happiness until one night, when a traveler from outside of the village came to the small family's door in the dead of night, banging on the door and waking three of the homes up, including Inoa's. When the boy went to investigate, he stayed in the darkness of the stairway as his father brushed past him to answer the door.

The man spoke too rapidly for the curious Inoa to understand, but his clothes were different. They were tight and buttoned down to keep them from flying around. A pair of cords hung over one of the stocky man's shoulders and there was something at his hip - a sword, he heard the other travelers call it before. This man was what they called a soldier. His father stood at the door listening to the demanding tone of the man who wanted to enter - and search - their home for one of the travelers they were fostering. His father refused, since everyone was sleeping... which led to that sword being drawn and his father falling to the blade right before Inoa's eyes. Panic kept the boy very still and he hid in the stairwell as there were hurried footsteps outside. The previously peaceful village sank into combat very rapidly afterward, Inoa's mother gathering her children and fleeing into the night as the village burned behind them.

They wandered toward the next town his mother knew of, but none of them had ventured out before. A deep fear gripped at Inoa from those times forward, that home would always disappear if you left it... or that something would come after them in the night. By the time they reached the town, his mother was haggard from travel, and his younger siblings were both ill from the strain and mental damage the incident caused. Inoa, though frightened, made a decision to protect what he had left, and set about odd jobs at first to make money for medicine. Each person he helped he would bless as was custom with their religion, and soon it grew into an opportunity that presented itself in the form of a client who offered to him the chance to study under him as a priest in training in his own town. The church could foster his family, and he could begin to gather support for them and many others made victims by invaders. Accepting this offer changed Inoa's life, and brought him away from the chaotic times of his youth. He went via airship to his new home for his family, and the church he would learn in while his family was cared for. While he still fears combat and the unknown, his training brought about a sense of patience and non violent protest for the wrongs he could see.

Inoa eventually took over for his mentor as the presiding priest due to the need for a priest in another nearby town. Despite his initial reservations, the younger male agreed and vowed to care for the parish as his own family. Still settling in, Inoa feels he has a lot to learn of the people of this place. He hopes to reclaim the peace and happiness of his first home and repay the church for its kindness, but most of all, to finally get his siblings the medicine they need to finally fully recover.
