Haaaaaaaaha!
These are the Diabolical Cubus Sisters from Phantom Hourglass. I got the players guide before I got the game and heres the reason.
To get going on finishing up the bosses.
I still have TP to do, I know.
Oh, since I felt their use of just electrical/lightning based attacks boring, I changed them around. The purple sister here controls the shadows. The yellow sister controls the lightning/electrical attacks. The green sister controls greenery. The red sister controls fire. =3

I think they were incorporating how they try to steal your life force by "seducing" you with their helplessness, poor Link has a problem with helping people.
