This is both my fan piece for the 25th Anniversary of Zelda and my entry into the Nintendo Christmas Contest. Both are at the last moment too, but I'm glad to have completed it.

This is the Master Sword sleeping in the Lost Woods, waiting on the Hero of Time to retrieve it should the Triforce be in danger of falling into evil hands. Hanging from the snow and vine covered weapon are the three Pendants of Virtue, serving as ornaments in this Zelda themed Christmas Tree set on the Pedestal of Time. And on top? A shiny fairy adorns the pommel, leaving a magical trail.

As you might can tell, this is mostly influenced from A Link To The Past, which is my favorite Legend of Zelda game and in my top three games of all time. If you look this over, you're gonna find some lil' references to that SNES masterpiece along with other installments in the series.

This piece was very time consuming for reasons unnecessary, one of which was deliberating how the Hylian pedestal inscriptions should be written. Wanna give a special shout out to who helped me out during that worrisome time. She's got quite the collection of Hylian Text, including her own constructed version complete with training aids. Should check them out. Very cool.

I would like to revisit this piece and do it more justice as I rushed myself during the coloring, texturing, etc. in order to complete it in time for the contest/end of the year. Plus, I'd like to show off my designs while they're not obscured by the snow and vines. Actually kinda proud of them.

Anyway, this will probably be my last submission for 2011, so hope you guys enjoy it and have a great holiday season.
