Description
emeraldoftheocean.deviantart.c⦠If you want to do it.Favorite Kid's Cartoon: Batman The Animated Series, now i haven't seen this show in a while, but there is a reason why this show is my favorite, even if the episodes are episodic, they are very interesting, this is a must watch if you are a Batman fan.
Runner-Ups: Ben 10, KND, Samurai Jack, Gravity Falls, Star vs The Forces of Evil, Regular Show, and Over The Garden Wall.
Favorite Adult's cartoon: Rick and Morty, even if the fanbase is getting downhill (thanks a lot, Musical.ly) the show is smartly written, and it has interesting characters...Β To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewers head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.
Runner-Ups: I haven't seen that much of adult cartoons... on TV, but i would give it to The Simpsons.
Favorite Web Series: Red vs Blue, even if Season 15 wasn't as good as the previous seasons, this show is still one of the best i've seen, and when it comes to cartoon villains, these guys are the masters of it, O'Malley, The Meta, The Director, Locus and his partner who's name i'm not going to spoil, and Temple, in fact, the characters are the strong point of the show.
Runner-Ups: AVGN, Nostalgia Critic, Death Battle, One Minute Melee and Cartoon Fight Club/Rewind Rumble.
Favorite Kid's Live Action show: Kamen Rider Gaim... wait, what? isn't this show for teens and adults? ok, let me explain: In Japan, even if it has characters dying thanks to Urobutcher, blood, and a very bittersweet ending, it's still a kid's show there, and i envy them, beacuse it's possibly the best tv show of all time, and it's not very known in America (and when i mean America, i mean the continent, not the country)
Runner-Ups... i think, Kamen Rider W, Kabuto, Drive, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, and Power Rangers Wild Force (i watched it when i was a kid)
Favorite Adult's Live Action show: Doctor Who, again, this is not an adult show, in fact, kids also like this show! but... for some reason i could not leave this show behind, and there is a good reason: The stories are very interesting, and, if you are a Sci Fi fan, and haven't seen this show yet, wtf are you doing?!
Runner-Ups: Kolchak, X Files, Friends, and How I Met Your Mother.
Favorite Anime: Dragon Ball Z, sorry for the generic option, but the fact is that i've watched few anime, but fuck, i love DBZ, even if it's a scream compilation.
Runner-Up: One Punch Man.
So, what do you think? do you agree with me or not?

Can you really classify Batman TAS as a kid's cartoon? That show was dark man, extremely dark.

Think of how dark Mr. Freeze's story was, and Two Face's. They had some heavy stuff in that series.

Yet, somehow, it was on Fox Kids (correct me if i'm wrong)

It's something to think about. The network allowed Batman TAS get away with things that the 90's Spider-Man couldn't even touch.

Yeah!
Even Alex Hirsch was debating himself if Gravity Falls was a kids cartoon or not.
But let's face it, Batman Beyond was more adult than TAS.

Ehhh, I'd say they're about equal, especially that story with the return of Mr Freeze within the series. Where it shines is the Return of the Joker movie when they actually killed off the Joker.
