I really like the haunted weathered look of this picture. The sky was pure blue with no clouds what-so-ever, so when I converted it to black and white it gives the sky and somewhat eerie.Related content

This one I don't like. If you say that the weather was perfect, why didn't you try and get the whole tree into the picture?
Otherwise you can make this one look even more weathered. Try to enhance the shadows (the darker parts of the image) and make them more dark thus you'll get more eerie feeling

My camera does not normally take clear photos on larger subjects.. landscapes.. ect. So I felt lucky I got the clarity I did, but I see what you are saying, I will try to remember that next time.
