Description
Super Tails returns, meaning that this is the second time I try drawing Super Tails. As time goes by and I go improving my art I notice how bad the original Super Tails is compared to today's art. Yet it's my most popular deviation.Tails is drawn with vectors in flash, but the fire and effects are all done with Adobe Photoshop CS.
I couldn't think of a background, so this is a transparent PNG. However, it doesn't mean you can take the picture and put it into your signatures, myspaces and any other place. If you're interested in using the picture ask me first. (You know I don't like putting watermarks, so don't force me to)
This is one of my few pictures where advanced critique is activated, I really like how it turned out.
By the way: don't ask why there aren't flickies around him. I haven't forgotten them, I just think that in new games if there was a Super Tails he wouldn't have them, to me the Sega Genesis era has very little to do with everything after the dreamcast.

Quick question, did you reduce the opicity of the Tails to show depth in the artwork because of the flames? I like that effect!
I also how Tails looks like he is ready for action and the way you made his eyes glow.

Actually, the tails are opaque. I drew transparent flames in a layer in front of his tails. After that I put another layer of flames behind Tails.

Did you save that in a JPEG format? It seems a little lower quality then your others. It's a great picture, but the pixels are rather more noticable here then your other works.

It's a PNG format. You can see pixels because of the way I painted it in photoshop.
Usually JPGs tend to be blurry rather than pixely, PNG format really does show the pixels clearer.
I'm not sure if you full viewed it, it definitely looks pixely when not in full view, that's because of the method deviantART uses to shrink the image.

Turbo Tails is from the Archie Comics I believe (I've never read them). He's called Super Tails in Sonic 3 and Knuckles, sadly he needs 14 emeralds to have a single superform, is Sega saying that Tails is weak?
The superforms from the Sega genesis were Super Sonic, Hyper Sonic, Super Knuckles, Hyper Knuckles and Super Tails.

Well go me and Archie comics, seeing as I collect them. And saying tails is weak is one way to say why he needs the 14 emeralds. My one friend however, and I think the Archie comics also follow this, believes that Tails is some sort of "Chosen One" or "Guardian of the Emeralds" and requires the mass amount of emerald power in order to fuel his super state because of how powerful it is.
