On my Instagram: i.n.hartantoProcess to be published on my blog
Assassin's Creed Rogue was a blast to play. As such, I do think it deserves its fanart... for my fiftieth deviation. So here I am, after more than ten hours of work, my new, rather realistic piece of Shay Cormac pondering over a Templar ring. Actually taken from the in-game scene when *spoiler* the Colonel dies, then rotated Shay around a little with the help of another image, then changed his clothing to be more Templar.
Damn that wasn't easy, with Shay filling the right side of an A4 page, larger than my last deviations. Done with my new set of 2H, HB, 2B, and 6B; still not too happy with the tidiness, and not too sure about the background as it was pretty much done in only 30 minutes, but even in this holiday I have deadlines. After that, I scanned and tidied up in Photoshop... which took perhaps 3/4 hours.
So. Any thoughts?
And also, thanks for the hundred faves.

It looks great! You captured a lot of detail in it. And it still makes me wonder why in the PC version of Rogue, even if you finished the game, when you replay Β any of the missions before getting the Templar outfit, it doesn't let you use it, and instead keep you into the Interim outfit, while in the console version you can.

Thanks!
Really? Well, I'd think it'll make more sense if you wore the interim outfit if you're not a Templar yet. But that's just me. Player freedom is indeed a big thing.

You're welcome!
:/ I find it a little bit weird, because well, again, in the console version you indeed can wear the Templar uniform in the replayed memories after getting it/finishing the game, and even, I know there are memories that put you into the Interim one anyway, but not all of them. xD Another funny thing, the Morrigan has all the templar ornaments even if you aren't one yet too, or that if you replay the Assassin Shay memories, you can have the templar swords and daggers instead of sticking you with the french cutlass and the normal dagger from the beginning. I asked a guy from Ubisoft Support myself, and they seem to believe it is a problem with the game's files, but I believe it's something Ubisoft implemented for some reason in the PC version, but they could just make a patch so you can use it...

Well, now that you mention those... seems, yes indeed they implemented it, but are just too lazy to give a patch. After all, Rogue is near a couple of years old.Β Really, I don't really replay that much, and once I got into the story I don't really pay attention to the little details like Templar shirts wearable in Assassin times. But that's just me.

It might surprise you actually, even if Rogue is indeed old, they still made a patch for a problem that made all the stuff inside Fort Arsenal disappear; it happened to me, I contacted Ubisoft Support, the guy that always takes my cases told me that the only thing he could do was to contact the developers, and after one day or two, the patch was downloaded into the game an it worked, not in the most stable way, but it did. And yeah, I know the story is the most important thing to get into, and the smaller details aren't much to worry about, but, I mean, it wouldn't take them some minutes or one day to just do that simple patch that makes it work like the console version.Β
