Some more post apocalyptic firearms concepts. In this case we have an FN FAL rifle, that has had its receiver modified to accommodate a manual bolt action operation. This idea came from some pictures of some Pakistani AKs that had been modified to be manually operated. I thought such a concept could in theory be applied to most firearms and I thought of the British post apocalyptic Concept I have been pondering on recently. In that world were most guns are running on black powder due to smokeless powder running out and being unable to be mass produced due to a lack of resources and industry, it makes sense that many would convert the old assault rifles, SMGs and machine guns into bolt action rifles that can cope with the setbacks of black powder, I.E the constant fowling and stoppages that would be caused by black powder attempting to operate an auto loading rifle. So yeah I came up with the bolt action FAL. In a post apocalyptic Britain set in the aftermath of s nuclear war that happened in the 80s, the FN FAL would be a popular rifle as it was the standard issue rifle of the British army during the 70s and early 80s. Essentially this design is just using the barrel, magazine and lower receiver of the FAL to operate a makeshift bolt action rifle. In order for it to function, part of the upper receiver has been cut off to accommodate the bolt. It's original stock and rear sights has also been removed in order for the bolt to be cycled back. The stock has been replaced by a bent iron rebar that has just been taped onto the side of the receiver, with an old bicycle seat acting as a cushion for the shoulder. The lack of rear sights means the gun would be pretty inaccurate although I am thinking they'd put them somewhere else although I'm not sure where yet. Nonetheless id imagine it a bitch to shoot with that stock and the 308. Round, but the guys using it are in an apocalypse so they can hardly complain when the rest of their world has gone to shit
