This is one of my old pieces I wanted to renew and reupload.
I did this fan art when the Tournament of Power came out because I thought and I still think that reviving Cell would have been a much better choice than reviving Freezer and I can explain why:
1) His resurrection could be more justifiable: I don’t know maybe only one cell survived from the Gohan’s kameameha or something similar (Frieza’s personal hell with teddy bears has no sense).
2) Power up: Cell was created combining the best from sayan, nameccian and shimoni -jin DNA so he can benefit from all their power ups (including power boost when healed from lethal injuries and god ki) and probably he can get a higher power level faster. Golden Frieza transformation makes no sense, both the way he trained to achieve it and the amount of power he got from it.
3)Motivations: Having sayan DNA, Cell has passion from fighting and he wants to demonstrate his strength and skills, so what better event than the Tournament of Power? Frieza wants simply to resurrect and do his Frieza things.
4)Interactions with other characters: I know, the fear of Crilin to be killed another time is fun and the atmosphere of tension between sayans and Frieza is nice, but how about the feels and behaviors Gohan, C18, C17 and especially Mr. Satan would have had seeing and facing Cell for the second time and being forced to be his allies?
