And here you have it! My character design tutorial! Know that this can apply to traditonal art as well, so don't think you're stuck with digital! Here are a few more tips for design and colors;❥ There are these places called libraries. Go to them. Check out some books about Color Theroy and Design! If you dont want to keep a whole book just make color copies of the pages!
❥ Fashion Magazines and Interior Design Magazines are also very helpful when it comes to color! They show what shades work with others, and what can be appealing to the eye!
❥ Look up different culutres and fashions! Just because you dont like a trend now doesn't mean you don't like one that happened 30 years ago! Everyone doesn't wear jeans and flipflops!

Very nice tutorial! Great to know your thinking process while designing.
You post some rules that can be successfully broken, but it's always good to know them and have in mind in case breaking rules don't work out. Sticking to them is just as successful.
