(No, I don't care if the show's over, I'm doing this anyway. XD) I Think it would go something like this:

Dipper floated near behind--half horrified, half confused--as he followed himself down the stairs to Ford's secret lab. Well, at least, he followed his body. The one using it, however, was not him. It was what he liked to call the centre of his problems right then.

"Bill, what are you doing? You've already nearly destroyed my arm, and drank almost all of our soda! Now you're... invading my Great Uncle's private research?"

"OH, NO. ALL THAT WAS JUST THE BEGINNING! NOW... WE'LL ACTUALLY HAVE SOME REAL FUN!" the dream demon seemed way too excited as they approached the portal. Dipper wasn't exactly sure how, but Bill Cipher had somehow re-possessed his body. Now, he was worried about what could happen this time around, especially with all of Ford's weird technology and stuff. Bill then approached the panel that controlled the portal. Dipper tried to stop him, but suddenly, there was a loud whirring noise as the portal re-activated. Bill walked right up to it, then turned and smiled at Dipper.

"Y'SEE, KID, I THINK YOU'VE GOTTEN SMART... TOO SMART, IN FACT. SO I'M GONNA HELP CHANGE THAT FOR YOU! HAHA, ENJOY YOU'RE STAY, PINE TREE!" Bill laughed maniacally, and suddenly, Dipper was in his own body again. He felt relieved at first, until he felt himself float. He suddenly realized that he was about to get sucked into another dimension.

At that moment, Mabel and Ford came down the stairs. They had both heard some strange things and didn't know what was wrong. As soon as Mabel saw her brother desperately trying to escape the portal, she lost sense of her own safety, and ran to him.

"DIPPER!" she cried, trying to reach for him. She almost grabbed his hand, when Ford wrapped his arm around her, keeping her from getting sucked in as well.

"No! Let me go! Dipper!" Mabel screamed, but it was too late. Dipper's hat flew off as he was sucked in fully. At that moment, the portal cracked and broke. The light was gone.

Mabel could do nothing but stare at broken portal, her brother's hat in her hand. Tears streamed down her face as she looked at it, not wanting to believe what had happened was real.

"Dipper..."

Bill re-opened the portal. Dipper tried to shut it off, but the button to turn it off was broken. Mabel tried to press the button in vain when her brother floats into the portal. Ford keeps Mabel from chasing her brother, while trying to fix the button to shut it down. Unfortunately, by the time he has it fixed, its too late.

OMG, this is so making me cry at the thought! but still, if dippers being pulled in by bill, the i can so see him doing that to poor dipper.

The portal was no closed, and Dipper had crossed thru it. Mabel had broken down in tears and Ford had to fight hard not to shed a few of his own. From behind them they heard footsteps.
"Hey, what're you guys crying about?"
Both Ford and Mabel turned, ready to yell at the one who asked them this, but they both gasped in surprise.
Mabel was the first to react.
"DIPPER!"
Mabel ran forward and hugged her brother close.
"Woah, what's gotten into you sis?"
Ford was completely flabbergasted.
"How is this possible?! We both saw you get sucked into the portal!"
"You did?" Dipper asked.
Dipper looked up and saw the now deactivated portal, which was showing signs of being recently used.
"Yeah... that wasn't me." Dipper explained "I was upstairs messing around with the copy machine and accidently created another clone. I went to get some water to get rid of him, but he must've wandered down here."
"That explains why the pine tree was missing on your cap." Ford concluded "And why he was messing with all the switches and buttons despite my warnings. But I guess it's all OK now."
Dipper shrugged and then glanced down at his sister, still hugging him.
"Uh, Mabel, can you put me down?" he asked her.
"No." Mabel replied simply "I ain't losing you again broseph."

Omfg dude. I'm going to try write a short babby story on this, not as good as the one below me though ovo

Dipper walked into the lab. He felt tears streaming down his face. How could he have said that to his sister, no, his other half of himself? He felt horrible, worse then ever. Dipper slid down in the corner, his hat falling off his head as he did so. He sobbed into his lap for about before Mable appeared at the door with Grunkle Ford. Dipper looked up and stood.
   ''Mable...'' he whispered. He looked down with shame and backed back. Mable smiled and looked at Dipper.
   ''Don't worry 'bout it Dippingsauce! I know what happened, with Bill'' She said smiling,''I'm cool, you were mad.''
Dipper looked up and swung his arm back. Little did he know he was at the portal and that he had just hit the activate switch. Dipper's heart thumped as he was lifted off the ground. He was sucked back by a gravitational pull. Dipper yelled loudly as he streched his hand out. Mable ran forward, fear in her body, and grabbed her brothers hand. Dipper felt her grip slipping even though they had both hands gripped to each other. Mable felt her body being pulled forward. Ford,reacting, reached for his grand daughter and put his arm around her chest, keeping a hold on her. Dipper felt his hand slip out of Mable's hand. He screeched. Mable felt tears form in her eyes as she tried to move forwards to get her brother.
  ''DIPPER!''She cried, tears forming in her brown eyes. Dipper was being pulled back further and further. Mable couldn't let her brother go. Ford pulled Mable back and tried to hit the red button. Dipper cried out,'' Mable! I'm so sorry!'' before Ford hit the button. The room was filled with a loud explosion and a blinding light. Mable felt her body being pulled back. When the light had faded Mable shot open her eyes. The room was destroyed, Stan, Wendy and Soos was at the battered door but no Dipper. She looked around. No sign of him. Maybe under the rocks. He had to be still here, he had to! Mable got up and dug in the ruble. After about two seconds, the peak of something was showing. Mable pulled it out. It was Dipper's hat. Out of it fell a picture of them from the start of summer, at the fishing thing Stan had brought them to.
 Mable began digging, even though she knew nothing was there. Stan walked up to his grandchild and put his hand on her shoulder. Mable shook it off and kept digging. Ford got up and stood in front of her and put his hands on her shoulders.
  ''Mable, you know he's not..'' he started. Mable's eyes filled up with tears before yelling in pain.
           '' DIPPER!!'' she sobbed,''please, Dipper, don't...''

"NO!  DIPPER!"

Completely unconcerned for her own safety, Mabel shot forward across the warning line, ready to jump after her brother, but someone grabbed and wrapped their arm around her.

It was Grunkle Ford.

"Mabel, no!" he said, struggling to keep his hold on her and the shutdown button's lever.

"LET ME GO!" Mabel shouted desperately, fighting as hard as she could, but Ford would not release her.

"Mabel, you'll get pulled in too!  You have to stay here!"

Electricity crackled as the portal's energy built to its peak.  Everyone in the cavern watched with horror at the scene unfolding, helpless as Dipper was being pulled in by Bill.

"Come along, Pine Tree," Bill cackled.  "I have so many nightmares for you to see!"

Dipper fought as hard as he could, but it was no good; Bill's grip was too strong.

"DIPPER!"  Mabel's tears had burst through.  "Grunkle Ford, please!"

"Mabel, he won't die!" he shouted as the energy whirled around them.  Dipper was moments away from touching the threshold.  "Please, trust me, Mabel!  You have to stay put!"

But she wasn't listening.  All that mattered was that Dipper was drifting farther to the blue circle, away from her.

"DIPPER!" she cried.  She knew it was pointless, but she reached out her hands, desperate to save him.

Dipper looked back at her and for the moment stopped struggling.  In that brief moment where time seemed to stop, Mabel saw something like the familiar inspiration she came to see in her brother's eyes every time he got an idea.

Dipper acted in a rush.  He pulled his blue and white hat off his head, dug through his vest, pulled out a pen, and quickly scribbled something on the hat's inside.

"Hey, what you doing?" Bill demanded.  "Oh no you don't!  You're not --"

But Bill was too late.

"Mabel!"  Dipper cried.  "Catch!" He threw his hat to her with all his might.

Mabel caught it, but didn't bother to look inside.  Her brother's act of throwing had propelled him and Bill even farther back.  Bill had already crossed through and the first inch of Dipper's back had broken the portal's surface.

"DIPPER!" Mabel screamed, her tears floating upward in the rift's gravitational pull.

"MABEL!" Dipper called back, his hands reaching out.  "I'M SORRY!  FORGIVE ME!  MABEL!"

The name carried on until he had crossed.  There was a burst of bright light, and the next thing she knew, Mabel was lying on the dirt floor, dizzy.  Groaning, pushing up with her hands, she saw that Ford, Stan, Wendy, Pacifica, and Soos had all been knocked back too.  It was only then that Mabel noticed what was holding something.  Dipper's hat.

Her tear-soaked face turned back to the portal that Bill had reformed.  Its electricity had faded and its glow was gone.  And so was Dipper.

A heart wrenching painting.  Mabel looks absolutely desperate to reach her brother.  The thing she had most feared has happened.  The expressions are well done and the sense of space is excellent.  You can really see the depth with Mabel's hand reaching out.  The watercolor really gives the scene a bit more emotion, what with Mabel's tears floating into the rift's stream.

Thank you for creating this piece.  Here's hoping that whatever happens at the end of Season 2, Dipper and Mabel will find a way back to each other.

Mabel's face and the fact that Stanford' holding her while she holds his hat makes it so much better and really touching
