Just imagine how much easier it would be if they had World Wide Wizardry (internet). Finding the right spells would be a matter of seconds, an hour tops. Getting into the forbidden section would be hacking into the system.

Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, it's a comic creaded by
Jhonen Vasquez (I'm sure you've seen Invader Zim? It's
the same creator and artist) that is morbid and demented...
It's also pretty damn funny! I highly recomend it with the
warning that it's for MATURE readers only (for it's graphic
sense of humor... 'Nny doesn't just kill his victems). There's
also a side comic that the main character makes that was the
inspiration for my siggy.

I'm a bit on the side of a few of the other commenters... though graphic design is indeed a form of art, I don't really think that this deserves to be on the front page. There is a lot more that could have been done with the positioning of the text to make it interesting (though I do believe that simplicity is key in some instances, I don't think this is one of them). I think it's more "let's reblog that on Tumblr" material than anything, but I understand why it's popular (due to Harry Potter being huge and all).

I appreciate your opinion but it's not my fault this is on the front page nor is it my fault that this project is hugely popular. I do have a tumblr with these on but this project started on here and I am not letting the people who started out with me down.

Neither do I to be honest. It's just a project that I play around with that's popular. The form of art I usually deal with is pencil, paint or biro portraits.

Who goes to the library when in doubt? Spend 15 minutes driving there, another 15 finding a relevant book, and then 30 minutes not finding an answer. Might as well ride there on a horse.

Excuse me, it's a quote from the most popular book series of all time. The artist is marginally popular, hasn't stopped trying and this isn't her usual form of art. This is part of an ongoing project, I draw portraits but I just so happen to also do these and they are immensely popular.

I've seen the other pieces like this, they're just random quotes from the book, and there is no art or style attached to them. A lot can be done with quotes, but picking a font and color is about the bare minimum. What about accompanying characters or the fine art of calligraphy?

Because that's not why people love this series. They love it because it's simple. The original conception was an accident that I put on a year and half a go and was greatly welcomed by the fandom involved. This series has generated half a million views, I'm not changing it because someone doesn't get it.

I don't think there is anything to get, and I think the series is successful despite itself, largely contributed to your works that actually took thought, skill, and time, as suppose to this one.
