I would assume so. I mean, I always thought the effect was more refined and subtle than, say, the energy fields of Imperial power weapons. The weapon might seem somewhat cold due to a perpetual vacuum around it.
Either way great pic! I love the detailing on the cape, gives him a rather unique and rugged feel compared to some of the listed heroes.

I like this, personally I believe the new necron fluff makes for more interesting necron instances. You could actually have a non-violent conversation with one for a bit. Also it makes necron vs. necron a viable thing.
