Description Sketched this earlier after I was done with my midterms at school-sort of a mini celebration thing I guess; Konngara from the Touhou Project games as an alicorn because it wouldn't leave my head and I have been sketching ponies all day

More love for the honorary Deva of the Mountain!

(And yay, more ponies from you!)

Very bold colors, is her tail turning into fire?
I would think that horn renders the sword kind of moot.
Also the fact that hooves can not a sword wield.
I suppose she could pull a Maximus from Tangled and sword fight with it in her mouth.
X}
That was classic.

It's a cartoon pony
It's best not to question these things

Fair enough. ;}
Lord knows I wasn't thinking very hard about style or design when I came up with a few of my character concepts.

But this isn't a character of mine; it's a crossover fanart

But it was your decision to use those colors, you decided what kind of pony this person was.
Even fanart crossovers speak volumes about the fans involved.
Like the people who do Gundam Wing/Sailor Moon crossovers and unfailingly make Wufei Mars.
I can kind of see it; she's a misandrist, he's a misogynist. It doesn't make it any less wrong to see him in those glaring red high heels. It makes me laugh, which isn't easy to do with him; I despise him.

Please clarify: what, specifically, are you asking "what" about?

It feels like you got off topic, I think. Also, Inkblot really didn't choose the colors. To be true to the source material, Konngara's ponification would have to be colored as she is.

How did I get off topic?
And while I won't argue that Konngara is colored as is, why an avecorn?
I think that was what I ultimately trying to ask, why this kind of pony instead of any other kind of pony found in the series?
Honestly, I don't remember. So long ago.

All characters in the Touhou series can fly, and they all use magic, hence an Alicorn. Also, Konngara is naturally depicted with a horn even in human form.
How I think you got off topic was that you started talking about how one character from one series is a misandrist and another character is a misogynist and whatnot. Ponifying characters is a bit different in that you aren't actually fusing characters, like Wufei and Mars, but giving a non-pony character pony characteristics.
I feel like there's something we're not properly communicating with one another here...

I feel that as well... maybe I just did not understand the concept of, what did you call it? "ponification"?
Every cross-over art I had ever seen before was either along the lines of dressing Wufei in Mars's uniform or pitting American McGee's Alice against Pyramid Head from Silent Hill.
That's probably it, I just didn't understand the premise back then.
I've seen more ponies than I would ever even try to shake a stick at since; I get it now. Sadly.
Though I do actually know what Touhou is, now, so there is that.
I mean, besides the company responsible for Godzilla. So many people confuse the two...
