DEDEDE! Love this guy, sure the cartoon series was... mediocre but he's a likeable guy for the most part

To this day I still don't get why half the series was done in CG while the other was 2D....between scenes. It would have made sense if they used the CG to make certain elements look otherworldly (Like they did with Kirby) but when I read the article, all it said it was done in a measure to test animation.....but why 'test animation' when you can't even be consistent in how you intergrate it in your show? In one shot, Dedede and Escargoon are animated by hand but then a split second later, its in CG and then when the camera pans its 2D again. WUT?

I know and at times it.... just doesnt work at all, I get that they wanted to make some scenes look as good as possible but it's best that you just stick with one design element when working on a series such as that, I get it, you wanted Kirby's inhaling to have 3D generated wind effects, it works for the most part but with other times (Most notably Dedede himself), the contrast is just a bit too much.

When I first saw the series, I thought it was to show off that Kirby, Dedede, and Escargoon were from another planet. You know, to show that they were not like the Cappies which I thought was a different but creative way of doing things at the time.....but then they would switch back and forth for no reason and then you realize that it was totally not needed at all. You could animate the entire thing by hand and it would have looked just fine, especially since the 3D animation that WASN'T Kirby looked so bad and stiff, especially with Dedede and Escargoon.

I know, it was just a horrendous choice to TRY and make the cartoon look better.
To be honest that anime was pretty dammed good.
