On the first day Emu introduces himself with a paper bag over head, he does this in order to avoid shocking people with his 'ugly' appearance.
Emu is trying to make a good impression and eventually removes the bag. He laughs it off, making it seem more like a joke.
Afterwards (when his guide leaves) Emu sits around his desk and works for about half an hour before relaxing.
He gets hungry and upon entering the kitchen tries to raid the entire fridge, but ends up caught in the process.
Then spends the rest of his day exploring the other accessible rooms.
(lol I couldn't draw the kitchen right, sorry if it's inaccurate!)

I'm not sure who would've caught him exactly, but he must've thought he was doing the wrong thing.
Lucky for him he gets as much as he wants~ ^w^
I was considering adding more blues and blacks to the background of the kitchen too, but it didn't quite fit.
(I just settled for a greyish white.)
