Sweet! Do you also use pens/crow quills?

No Quills. I find they drag and break too easy on the paper I use. I use pens on most metals and straightlines. Usually a Micron Pigma or Staedtler set of pens

Got it. Yeah, crow quills can be a real pain. Have you tried any of the Japanese nibs like the G-pen? They may have a little more give than stuff like the Hunt 102s and might be slightly less likely to rip up the paper. Not that I know anything about inking. It remains something akin to magic or wizardry for me.

Lol and I say the same thing about pencilling sir, especially after inking a full book by you and looking at all your current pages. I haven't tried the G-pen, actually haven't heard of it, but since you mentioned it I'll get it a look.

Heh, cool. I found some links to G-pen nibs from various manufacturers on jetpens.com for ya:

If you do try them out, I'd be interested to see if you fare better with these than the stiffer ones.

Ok I ordered the Tachikawa nibs and a holder. It says the nib gives you the control of brush strokes so this should be fun. I'll keep you posted once I get them
