The smallest of the Root-scrapers, approximatley 3 feet at the shoulder. Use antlers to fight for mates and dominance. They use tusks to uproot small plants, which is what their main diet consists of. Quilled tail defends against predators. They encompass most of south america, mainly the temperate forested regions.
