My half of an art trade with , her lovely phoenix character Arcaillax. Omg a background!
Simple, yes, but I'm still getting used to using digital again. Gimp is slightly different from photoshop and I'm still learning. Anyway, I hope I got her colors and feathers right.
I do like how her feet turned out though, for some reason they seemed to be the easiest thing to draw. I hope I didn't seriously mess up her wings. It's supposed to be like she's lifting into the air... Arcaillax (c)

I don't know where to start... Well, let's start with the wings and the pose. I think you did them both well, the pose of the wings really looks like she's rising to flight and her whole pose looks like that also. You've done nice looking feathers to her wings, and the crest & tail feathers are great too.
I just love her expression, she looks kinda happy here, and those legs are adorable
And for me it looks you did get her colors right, I have nothing to complain about them. And that background looks just fine, and if you did it with GIMP, I wonder how you have managed to understand something from that program XD (I once tried to use GIMP and, well, I don't want to see that program anymore

Nah, maybe it's easy to understand after using it for a while, I really just wanted to test it, but I did find it too confusing and didn't care to understand it as I more likely will use Photoshop anyway
