I FINALLY got to see striped hyenas! They are such gorgeous animals (as are all hyenas) and I had the opportunity to catch some photos of them sleeping and interacting with each other. This fella here was reacting to a child screaming somewhere behind us (much to his and my irritation), but I got to see a striped hyena with an erect mane! I know they get fluffy when they bristle, but it was cool to see it for myself.
