(Decided to draw male characters this time, based of my AltHistory project.)What might happened when Calais, formerly Pale of Calais become a independent nation as a act of compromise between French and English settlers?

I like the idea behind this new project. I imagine this small state was formed sometime before the events of WWI, perhaps in the Medieval era. This gives the people here a distinctive identity and culture.

In this timeline I imagine that the Flemish and French were expelled to the interiors by the English during 100 Years War, thurs giving a different culture and identity to its inhabitants.
