For a while after I moved to Houston, I would draw a little comic whenever I ate someplace new. There are a lot of great restaurants near where I work. That's basically what you do in Houston, eat out and work. There ain't much else. The city hobby is getting diabetes.Related content

Have you ever had a terrible horrible stomach ache, sworn to God you'd never eat like that again for a little relief, and then a little while after you're feeling better you see something bad for you ( like.. a bucket of ice cream ) and decide to eat it even though you just got over terrible horrible pain?

I'm trying to break my habit of impulse snacking. I think I've pretty well gained back all that weight I lost in Japan. Still, I'm the sort of person that will regularly see interesting things and try to put them in my mouth. Right now: Snapple Pink Lemonade (I swear to god, not enough places carry Snapple. Why is that? It's made from the best stuff on earth for crissakes!) and chili covered mangos (which are a lot better than they sound - imagine dried sugar encrusted mango that is also a tad spicy)

the idea has been proposed to me, and yeah, I probably should. I don't know if they would seriously have a viable outlet, but lord knows I have enough of them. One problem is that they aren't very uniform, so I think any book they would end up in would look rather motley.

indeed. the place I get mine from does it AWESOME, too. It's about half condensed milk, so it's super unhealthy. They do it the extreme way where they brew the coffee in a gravity slow drippy thing over a cup of condensed milk and then poor the whole thing over a cup of ice.

omg one of my coworkers' birthdays was last week. our students threw her a party and the cake was tres leches. they were surprised to learn that we also call it tres leches cake in english (though with marred pronunciation). anyways, tres leches cake is tres delicious.

it's like bubble tea but a smoothie instead of tea. You can get coffee flavor or avacado flavor. I don't know if bubble smoothie comes in other flavors.
