I am participating in the Zelink fan art week, which you can find out more about here: hyruleheart.tumblr.com/post/11…The prompt for today was anger.
This was very difficult to draw, I resorted to creating my own photo reference, especially for Zelda.
SKYWARD SWORD LINK IS REALLY HARD TO DRAW TOO.
Woah, Zelda calm down! It's fine, really...
It's really not! You can't keep letting Groose and his lackeys beat you up like that! It's just not right!
I can handle it... you don't have to try to defend me.

I wish we could see a story about the events before Skyward Sword, like Link and Zelda growing up together, because, as implied in the game, Groose and his lackeys messed with Link on a regular basis. Working title, Tales of Skyloft. And I know, it is pretty generic.

Ike and Link isnt necesarilly 'crack' just mainly uncommon.

Crack is any pairing that doesn't make sense out of what we know about a work of fiction. Link and Ike have zero interactions between them, and have romantic leads in their respective games.
Same goes for Pit x Link. Hell, from what we have in Smash Bros, the only homosexual ship close to not be crack is Lucina and Palutena.
I guess they like all sorts of pairings in the channel if that's the case though.

Meh, you can ship anything you want. It won't prevent it from being stupid if it happens to be, or at times even out of character, but anyone is entitled to their tastes.
And sorry, but canon pairings often depict the characters as what they are intended to be, and things out of that often do weird crap to those characters.

For example, Link has no 'true' feelings about or to any characters, that go past friendship, unless you feel that way about that character.
Like Skyward Sword. I just don't ship those incarnations of Link and Zelda as lovers. More than friends, but not more than that.
And let's also be real, not everyone is happy within their marriages. Even married characters can be interpreted differently.

I actually can concede you that. However, the games are still leaning to that line and even Aonuma and Miyamoto themselves seem to be pleased(not sure why they haven't went full on it, but that's not my problem)

True, but in fiction it's up to the writers to decide that, not the fans. A happily married couple won't quarrel more because you prefer some nonsense crack ship, that's for sure.

The ending basically happens to have him marrying. With a girl that is his childhood friend and emotional support through A LOT of crap.
And I know it's shipping, but I fail to understand shipping when it ignores the characterization of the participants(In this case for example, Caeda is important to Marth as a person and contributes to his character development)
Is almost as people married to a head canon or alternate interpretation that most likely doesn't accurately describe the characters in question(not saying people should just stick to canon pairings all the time, as some universe DO allow for multiple alternate ships, but I have to wonder often if people thought the ships through or just ship them off the top of their heads because "they look cute together" and stuff)

Okay...that's a weird as hell way to pair people, but I guess we all have our quirks when playing Smash(between friends we call the Smash Ball "Bankai" because one of them was really into Bleach when we started playing and said Pit was the Quincy)
