My second submission for 's contest, here: [link] Refrence for the girl: [link] the beautiful Kirsten Dunst posing for the September 2006 Vogue in dresses inspired by Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette.Here, I'm working with the popular myth of the maiden and the unicorn, although in the background you can also see a few gods. Since the middle ages, stories have been told about the affection of unicorns for girls of exceptional goodness. Based on this, here's the story:
The young lady - she looks like an Isabella to me - is perhaps an 18th cenury aristocrat with a strong, adventurous spirit. Unfortunately, she'd recently been pushed into an engagement she had no interest in. At the celebratory masquerade ball, however, she managed to slip off to the garden by herself and to her surprise, was chanced upon a beautiful unicorn who offered to take her away. A tap of its alicorn, and the garden's wrought-iron gate has just swung open on a world of gods, magic, and adventure.
I don't imagine young Isabella will ever be seen again.

Beautiful my only issue is that she has no breasts at all....but otherwise tis gorgorgeous, it just doesn't quite look right without something of a curve.

There should be alteast some small amount of rise with the dress though. I mean if you look at the girl in Shakspear in Love thats the type you'd be going for. She's not big breasted but in that type of dress it did push them up alteast a little. Thats all.

Ah, I see where you got confused. This isn't a proper 18th century corset, and certainly not an Elizabethan one. Her bust isn't being pushed up. Look carefully and you'll see.

Thank you! I'd be honored, but for the record, my style is very much influenced by Alphonse Mucha and a few other artists of the art nouveau era. If you want some really fine inspiration for this style of art, check them out.

i do. i dont know the name of it, but the one i like best has a pretty redhead smiling over her shoulder at you under a big silver crescent shape. i see he used that shape a lot.

It's very unique and it focuses more on the composition, not really the colours. But I think it would be equally as attractive should you decide to add more colours to it.

You know, it really compliments the image. To put too little colour would make it dull, to put too many would kill your eyes. I think you did the right thing. Oh... I really like the way you draw people! ^_^

I think I'm in love... There's so much to say about this piece. First of all, I absolutely love and admire how you do your line art, I think it's one of the key things in the make up of your style (the second thing being your use of flat colours). I really love how your pieces always have a put together 'design' feel. I can totally see where you drew inspiration from that picture of kirsten dunst, the dress really flows in an unbelievable way.
