Yesterday was apparently 'shade all the things in raspberry red!' day and for some reason these colours reminded me of that. xD;
BUT YES.
This is a beautiful genet fursona and omg did I ever tell you I love genets? ;u; Although I will admit that once I distorted the anatomy because chibi, it didn't really look much like a genet anymore but.
Hopefully the cute makes up for it. xD
I'm really happy with this one though ahhh! Like. Just painting in all those spots made me happy. |D And also I'm trying to move away from my blue / purple shading box and I'm liking it so far. c:
I also just really love these ears right now haha.
Hoping that the colours are alright! It's always a little confusing when you're working off a traditional reference. n__n; Really loving these browns though. I don't know how to use brown. xD;

Whoo, I love genets, and this piece! I especially like the shading, personally I haven't really figured out shading in different colors yet. I find them really interesting and fun to draw, even though the anatomy is weird and I can never find a good reference picture on google. Cx

I don't actually know a lot about them yet, but I really adore their anatomy and markings. ;u;
Hmm, what I usually tend to do is grab a bunch of pictures off of Google and then study / reference features from a bunch of different ones. Like I'd use one to reference the head, and then another for the paws and so forth. That way, you don't have to rely on finding only one good picture. c:
Though if you enjoy drawing them, I'm sure you'll figure something out one way or another. o:
Shading in different colours isn't too bad either. ;3;
I just started doing it when my more talentedartsyexperienced friend informed me that shading in black is a no-no. xDD;
Though I think everybody has different preferences for their shading, so what works for me might not work for you. n__n;

That's a good idea! I usually just get a couple of refs and try to do the whole thing off that, but having multiple refs makes more sense. C:
I heard somewhere that shading in the opposite color (on the color wheel) helps bring out the color, but I always just.... suck at coloring in them. Cx
