This is the oldest file I've been holding onto with the intention of finishing, which I got the idea for and started back in March 2011. 2011. That's four years ago. |D
It's funny, really, because I definitely did not mean to finish it /this/ much later. But you know, in the end, I think it was for the better. I definitely could not have done some of the colouring and effects a few years back. ouo;

This picture almost feels like a collaboration with myself haha, building on what progress I'd left behind every year. :b

I remember being stumped on lanturn's shading back in 2013, which is why I never ended up finishing it then. |D But I'm really pleased with how I managed it now! ;u;

Still funny to me that I have nooo idea how I painted this this well haha, the fur detailing on the oshawott was done in 2013 and I. Have no idea. How I did that LOL.
I do have almost 50 photoshop files of this though, so I mean- chances are, I can go back and figure out how this painting turned out so much better than my later ones. xD;

Those bubbles were simultaneously very fun and very cry to draw omg- |D
Everything was hand-painted except for the wave texture! I lost track of which water texture I used, but if I ever find out, I'll link it here!

BUT YES. I've felt like all I've drawn lately are characters on transparent backgrounds, not even fullbodies half the time and. I really wanted to do something big, but was feeling kinda uninspired- but then I remembered this and yeah! :'D

I wanna do more cool stuff like this, that's less.. generic. |D
So yeah, here's to trying really hard this summer! ( along with summer school.. ew.. )
