They had been watching it for hours.As first she had listed.
30 degrees to port, had been the estimate.
Although they had been watching it from below, so it was hard to tell really…
She had listed.
For a long time
And she had started dropping her cargo.
That angle shouldn't have been possible.
This ship should have been equipped with ballast water.
She should have easily straightened up again.
What more was, her cargo should have been tied down.
Not slammed into the side like it was now.
A cargo ship like her, a couple of containers should not have been a problem.
But they had watched her leaning dangerously to the side for hours.
Then the angle had kept decreasing.
Until she had been laying on her side.
And she had been doomed.
It was weird really. As soon as she started sinking she had straightened up again.
Now she was serenely making her way towards the bottom.
Her windows still lit.
They wondered how many she had brought with her.
On this, her last voyage.
