You have spotted Scylla from afar.
You have wisely realised that defending against her is impossible.
You have planned accordingly.
You have taken a huge circle around her....
Genius.
Problem evaded...

Keep telling yourself that...
As you sail straight onto Charybdis
“Bottomless pit”.
That is the term that I would use...
Except it’s not really bottomless...
Because you see, every other hour Charybdis will spew up all that he has eaten.
All the chewed up ships...
Crushed to splinters...
Complete with crew...
And captain....
So, is this a picture of gluttony?
Of binge eating, to the point if sickness?
Or perhaps is he merely allergic?
Allergic to ships?
That would be something, wouldn’t it.
One thing is for certain...
Where Scylla was angry, Charybdis is merely hungry.
So, so, hungry...
He harbours no hard feelings.
As he lurks in the deep.
Waiting to devour your ship.
Waiting to devour you.
I am not sure if that makes it better though.
So... take your pick... Scylla or Charybdis?
