Description
Every time I get somewhere with this guy my muse whispers, and I am compelled to listen. It's getting close though. I post this to hold my self accountable, I can't stand posting incomplete work.Related content

What medium are you using? Earthen clay or sculpy?

I am using an oil based clay that I think is called plastalina. It is the crappy hobby store clay.

Thanks so much. At the moment no....it is a clay sculpt. But that is the idea. I am going to make a mold and cast in a light weight resin. I would like to make multiples to sale.

This is simply amazing. I can't wait to see it finished. The details are incredible. What is this made out of?

Thanks very much it is clay at the moment. When Β the sculpt is finished I will fill in voids and undercuts and make a mold. Then I will cast it in a strong light weight resin. If I am able to pull this off with out any screw ups it will be a quality piece.

I always wanted to try that. I am just getting into clay- when I get the time. It is a really great piece though. I hope the resin comes out like the original.

I can't wait to see what you come up with in clay. that isΒ why I went this route, silicone can capture the smallest detail. As I said if I don't screw up the process it will be very detailed.

Whatever I do do, it won't be as good as yours. Β Well, I am sure it takes a bit of doing to master mold making to any satisfaction, so give yourself the leeway.

I don't agree with that. We have different styles, and I think your art is wonderful. Uh yes well wish me luck, I think I will need it.

INo, I wanted to work in clays for the sake of detail, which mache doesn't offer with ease. I want to do more- but I don't have the time- or when I do, I don't have the energy.
Β Just remember - from everything I have heard, molds take a long time to master. Β Well, post it when you get the mold made- and sell them.
