Description
This is for 's Animagus showdown. If Severus WAS an animagus *if James and and the rest of the gang could do it, Sev certainly could/can too* the Raven would be my fav form for Severus to take, J.K has used the spider and bat to describe his movements, and the owl is a symbol of wisdom. Would he approve of these forms? I think so.
Oh and I know it is a bit wonkey, but so am I.

Lovely! My vote goes both to the bat and the spider ...Why not two forms? Yeah, it's probably not possible in canon, but it would be so handy!

That was one thing that kinda bothered me. It was supposed to be a rare talent, but all 4 friends possessed it.

Raven is my favorite animal but Snape has a better bat motif. Misunderstood creatures of the night that like the dark. It's way too obvious though.
Ravens would make a good fit for Harry though.

I can TOTALLY imagine Severus as a raven animagus!

Yes I think it suits him well too!

I like the raven. Dumbledore was the owl, and since the two men are very different, the owl doesn't fit Severus imo. Now the bat and the spider are actually not bad choices. They are both maligned and misunderstood creatures!

Yes I agree the owl is not such a good fit. JK often described his movements as bat or spider like.

Bat and Raven would be my first choices. But a Spider is so much like Severus. He even lives on Spinner's End!

Hee yeah, I think spider would have fit perfect too.

I vote for the raven. Owls symbolize wisdom, but they're actually rather stupid birds. Ravens and crows, on the other hand, are among the most intelligent of birds. A raven also has a long, curved beak. Hurrah for hooked noses!

Oh, very nice artwork! I love the way you have all the nocturnal animals as possible forms, and the detail is beautiful. Have one of my drabbles which complements the art, I think (don't worry, one a couple of sentences - extremely short!)
The characters and the situations within this fanfiction story are not my property. They are the property of J.K. Rowling, and Iβm making no profit from using them in this fanfic.
Animagus
By Alison Venugoban
The raven flew over the houses, eyeing the gardens with an almost human intelligence.
It swooped low at the sight of prey, swallowing the morsel with a click of its sharp beak.
Flapping wildly, it tried to regain height, but its stomach began to swell alarmingly. The raven exploded.
A man hit the turf, rolled, swiftly shrank back to spider-form and scuttled to a large hydrangea bush.
Severus Snape would have sneered if his Animagus form had the ability; it wasnβt bad enough he had to keep watch on Potter over the holidays, birds kept trying to eat him, too.

Thanks very much. Your drabble does complements the art, and is well written as well.

It's a kind of vulture, only they eat the marrow instead of the meat.

I think he'd be a rook rather than a raven - they have a very large nose and a stalking walk, are (like the raven) highly intelligent, and they look simultaneously immensely dignified and slightly scruffy.
A black fox would also suit him, imo, or a scrawny black and white cat.
Very nice pic, anyway.

I love your style...
I think the raven's the most fitting, and I really like the way you drew Severus in the corner- it reminds me a bit of Dream from The Sandman comics (Neil Gaiman)
Also
The way you hatched in the sky looks really great

I love how Snape looks. And the animagus forms are just perfect. I love how you drew each single one of them, it would be hard picking a favourite.

All of those really work for him... I think my favorite is also the raven, though. The dark symbolism and attitude of ravens just seem to fit. Beautiful work, as always! I love your shading technique on this one.

The more I look at this the better I like it. . . I just showed it to my husband who loved it as well. He's partial to the raven and thought that Snape looked excellent too! Do you ever do prints?
