My goal was to create an retro SF picture. Background was build in 3dsmax. Scene was build in Poser and I used some filtering in photopaint to achive an cartoonish look.If you liked this picture you may be interested to see more of my science-fiction themed 3D art.

Well, I admit drawing a girl in front of a window is not really an super new idea. Artists paint something like this for centuries.

Before I even read your comment I sensed a 60 sci fi vibe so I think you pull that aspect really well. I am really drawn to her shiny outfit and the computer. It's also a good touch of giving her sort of a defiant glare.

I don't know much about poser, so I can't really tell how much efford you put in this. I personally don't like filters too much, but this picture looks quite nice and her expression is interesting. Sorry for not being capable of more construcitve critiques.

Um etwas zu einem Bild sagen zu können muss man nicht unbedingt etwas darüber wissen wie es genau entstanden ist. Alles was wirklich zählt ist, ob einem das Ergebnis gefällt oder nicht.
Zumindest sehe ich das so.

Naja, das ist ansichtssache - wenn man weiß, dass der andere (damit meine ich jetzt nicht dich, weil ich nicht weiß, wieviel Anstrengungen du in Poser gesetzt hast) kaum etwas getan hat als nen Standartfilter über ein Bild zu legen, sieht man das Bild mit anderen Augen als eines, das vllt nicht perfekt aussieht, aber dafür von viel Mühe zeugt. Daher kann ich manches eben nicht beurteilen.

Wenn jemand nur nen Standardfilter über ein Foto legt ist das natürlich nicht die 'Grosse Kunst'.
Aber falls du ein Bild unbedingt nach dem 'Aufwand' beurteilen willst, erstmal ist viel für das Bild
komplett 3D modelliert, mehrfach gerendert, gefiltert, gelayert und letztendlich dranrumgemalt.
Wahrscheinlich mehr Aufwand als du hast wenn du ein Foto abmalst. Aber ich bin eigentlich ein Freund davon Bilder nicht nach 'viel aufwand' aussehen zu lassen.

Nö, da hast Du mich falsch verstanden - ich kenne Poser halt nur von Bekannten so, dass man vorgefertigte Models nimmt, die halt in bestimmte Posen bringt und entsprechend bearbeitet, damits gut aussieht.

Am Anfang ist halt immer die Idee und ich arbeite so lange daran bs es so aussieht wie beabsichtigt, oder im Idealfall sogar besser. Es kommt halt nicht auf das Werkzeug an dass man benutzt, sondern darauf was man damit macht. Man kann mit einer Fotokamera aus Versehen auf den Auslöser drücken und die eigenen Füße fotografieren aber man kann auch bewusst ein Motiv konstruieren das man vorher in seiner Vortellung so gesehen hat.

I really enjoy this one. You definately achieved the look you were going for. I really do appreciate that the woman appears intelligent and capable, an image of success and meeting goals. You've designed the technology in a very retro way and it gives the image a great style!
