aber die defiant und der whitestar sind beide sone art wolf im schafspelz, sie sind zwar klein haben aber ne menge power und kΓΆnnen auch ne menge einstecken, zudem ist ihr flugverhalten son bischen wie ein jagtflieger.

I'll go with Defiant this time - it's firepower is almost comparable to larger ST ships, like the Galaxy class.
Probably has something to do with the fixed-axis pulse phasers, rather then the omnidirectional arrays - due to the longer "runway" the particles gain much higher velocity, resulting in higher yield.
I've never watched any B5 myself, but I've heard the conventional human vessels don't pack any serious punch compared other sci-fi ships.

The whitestars are build by an advanced alien race and the powerful backbone of the interstellar alliance. I think it is very comparable to the defiant. Nonetheless usual earth vessels would probably loose the fight, but keep in mind that B5 plays the same time as tos and the old constitution class enterprise is also far less powerful then ds9 ships.

Well, I'm not gonna argue with that - I just don't have enough info on any B5 ship, not only the Whitestar - I just wanted to point out how effective the Defiant is.

That looks like what would happen between a White Star and the Defiant.
Most Babylon 5 ships have more firepower than star trek ships can handle.

I know Star Wreck yes, funny movie. But that's not exactly Federation vs. Earth Force its more like P-fleet vs. Alternate Earth Force. So things are slightly different.(White Stars are MUCH tougher in the real B-5)

True, true but check out the science and FAQs area the essays specifically, its pretty interesting and read the intro and editor's notes first.
from what I've read the guy at least tries to be accurate. But as you said nonsense is possible, and not just there, everywhere.
