Unexpectedly I've got few free days recently and I knew right away what piece I want to make. I've been dying to do another Daenerys artwork since the last one and since the third season is right around the corner (the trailers look freaking awesoooooomeeee ) it's high time I paid her the tribute.

Anyways, the idea. In one of the episodes of the first season Daenerys comments on the death of her brother "He was no dragon. Fire cannot kill the dragon..." And her words really stuck in my memory until at some point I got this concept in my mind. I wanted to show her engulfed by flames with parts of the burnt dress peeling off (now don't get any ideas, you perverts ) and metal pieces of adornment becoming red-hot while she remains unharmed and unaffected by it. I was going for somewhat ethereal and magical feel with this piece, hence the floating fabric looking like burning wings. I wanted to make an indication she is the dragon who cannot be killed by fire.

And good news, my fish memory managed not to forget to save steps for this one so I'll be posting those soon too. Just need to put all them in one file. Must not forget to do so... What I was saying?
