I am not fully happy with this painting, it was just a way to force myself to draw.. Sorry for all mistakes, I did not use any reference.While painting, I realised that the subject of the scene reminded me of conversion of Saul. [link] Though there could be a lot of other interpretations.

I think the composition is well. Colors are very well! Only thing you could change is in my opinion his aureola - if you used real gold petals (or any other metal decoration) instead of paint, id would look really better. Id would be more iconic

I can't explain it very well, but your gallery seems to be just what I need right now, aesthetically speaking. Textured, dark, sensual and symbolic.

I think this looks just great. Painting-wise I just love everything in it; the background, the use of colours (esp the red!) and shapes and the horse is looking just miiighty fine. I love how the horse looks.
Then there's the context. When looking at this painting, you can see it has lots of it. I skimmed through the article about Saul and I can see why you see the same things in these

Aye, pasirodo, esama a la rimtesnių egzistencinių problemų anei piešimas. Laikas turbūt užsiiminėt akademizmu, kad jis užknistų iki gyvo kaulo ir norėtus ko nors `gyvesnio` :d
