Zangoose requested by someone on the Quizup App.I kind of feel like Ive drawn Zangoose quite a few times now... not that I have all of them posted here. He seems to be a popular requested pokemon for whatever reason... still he IS fun to draw. I tihnk this will be the last drawing of him for a long while though. Maybe I should get to drawing his rival/mortal enemy, Serviper. I haven't drawn that one at all.
Did you know? Despite being classified as a bipedal creature it more often runs on all fours? I thought it makes much more sense for it to be on all fours. I think it's cooler that way.
Anyways, so I inked using a calligraphy pen once I was done sketching it. I used only color pencils for the red areas of his fur and eyes. Everything else shaded was done by pencils and a blending stump. So excuse all the smudging but I suffer from silver-surfer hand. (My lefty companions will understand). I really like laving the only color in here to be Zangoose, I feel it helps make him stand out. What do you all think?

Oh my, I love the way you drew zangoose. His vibrant red fur, the rough sketchy look of the shading, the simple background that looks pleasing to the eye without diverting from the focus. Aaah, I love it! The only 'negative' things I can note is that the tail is a tad too poofy and lacks the double ended thing zangoose has at the end and that the red on zangooses face has a few white patches. Of course there's a few other nitpicks I could make but those are so minimal that they aren't worth mentioning.

The white patches idk if it's from the highlight of my lamp when I took the picture or when I press hard with my colored pencils it sometimes peels the paper ><
Anyways it's a fair critique, I don't mind nitpicks. I'm either gonna go .. "well, that person is right" or "Eh.. I dont care much about that" haha .. in short I mean nitpick all you want, it's a critique and I would value any thoughts you have however small the thing might be.

While my opinion on Gen 3 Pokemon has shifted for a while the last time i played a Gen 3 game, I gotta say Zangoose is probably one of my favorite Gen 3 pokemon next to Groudon and Kyogre.
The way you made Zangoose walk on all fours really amuses me because it remarks what the Pokemon's behavior is when peaceful and that's what i really like. If anybody can make Zangoose look cute, put it on all fours, and instantly it's cute in my opinion.
To top it off better, and i find this more hilarious than strange, you can breed Seviper with Zangoose and there's plenty of art for that. But for now, Zangoose is probably the one Pokemon i wanna hug.

i haven't checked the gen 3 pokemon yet, but Zangoose is the one i remember mostly because of it's design and relation with Seviper
