When you get a character ref do youtweak the colours at all or add in-between/extra colours somewhere? I'm just getting into pixels and they don't seem to be as alive as yours and I'm trying to pinpoint specifics

HEY! sorry for the late response! i seldom ever tweak colors, i eyedrop directly from references. the only time i'll ever really tweak colors is if they're way too dark to see what's going on, i'll lighten just enough! i do add extra colors for shading, anti-aliasing, and lineart, though! for in-between colors, i like to find the in-between and then slightly saturate it to add more vibrancy, and the same for shading and lineart in most cases!

Was it just a coincidence that they all bore very similar colour palettes because it makes an amazing lineup in the end!
