Okay, so perhaps this is inviting a slightly unfair comparison, but
A. It has its roots in truth
and B. I NEVER GET TIRED OF WHINY!CLARK GODDAMNIT.

By no means was Clark always in a bad mood in his journal entries (between MUSQUETORS and getting wet, though, I keep drawing him in one XD); however, if he was, he's the one who tended to express it. Lewis, not so much—which, given how melancholy he was reputed to be, seems a bit surprising. But Lewis waxed more philosophical and intellectual in his passages (and spelling aside, he wrote beautifully), and quantity, more than quality, indicated his frame of mind. Clark, on the other hand, didn't seem inclined to hold back his bitching.
