Very good comic displaying the frustrations of pokemon...you should check out my new comic which displays my ignorance with pokemon day care center in Daimond for DS. I didn't know not only does your pokemon level up very slowly and they charge an arm and a leg for one level, but they change their moves too! I was like...I know have an electric pokemon that forgot the ONLY electric attack it EVER had! Don't worry I found an HM? or is it a TM? that had Electric Shock so it has an electric attack again. In daimond... can I really find Umbreon, Giratina,Darkrai, and Articuno? Where can I get better poke balls to catch them with instead of the regular ones?

Thank you~
Yeah ever since the Gold, Silver and Crystal versions of Pokemon, where the couple Daycare, eggs, shiny and the clock system were introduced, if you left your pokemon there, they'd learn new moves. And the daycare couple try to get moves for your Pokemon that'd help it against type disadvantages and such.
There isn't an HM that's an Electric type, so maybe it was Charge Beam or Thunderbolt or Thunder, or Shock Wave, that you obtained.
Umbreon, you need to catch an Eevee in the trophy garden on route 216 I believe. (the route south of Hearthome City) The guy named Backlot in the Pokemon mansion, if you have the National Dex, will tell you about which Pokemon appear in his garden. Sometimes, he'll say there's Eevee in his garden and when he does, go catch one and make it happy (two small hearts on the Friendship Checker App you recieve from the lady in the Pokemon center in Eterna city) during the night.
I advise you to save before talking to Backlot, so if he doesn't say "EEVEE" in his garden, then you can hard reset (turning off your DS) and keep trying til you get Eevee. It'll take awhile, but it's better than waiting days and days.
Giratina, you find him in Turnback Cave, only accessed if you have the National Dex too. Turnback Cave is located on Sendoff Spring, from the Spring Path, which is to the east of the Southern route next to Veilstone. You'll need Rock Climb, Rock Smash, and Defog. The trick to Turnback Cave is that you need to find Giratina's room in a set number of rooms. You should find Giratina's room in 30 rooms or less. You'll get something nice if you do.
I suggest going just straight up when you enter, so you're going North all the time, you'll find it faster. Giratina is level 70, so yeah. I'd have dusk balls ready for him.
Darkrai, you need the event item "Member's Pass" from Wifi mystery gift, or use an Action replay you can buy for $20 at a Walmart and cheat the item. Once you have it, go to Canalave City at night, and go into the Inn directly north of the Pokemon center. A strange man will tell you they've been expecting you, and you'll fall asleep, then end up on Newmoon island, and find Darkrai, who's level 40. I suggest Dusk balls on him. You'll need to have the national dex to get him though.
Articuno, you need Fire Red or Leaf Green GBA games and catch Articuno in there and migrate. You can migrate after you get the national dex.
Better pokeballs? Progress through the game and you'll be able to buy Heal Balls, Quick Balls, Dusk Balls, Nest, Net, Great and Ultra balls. Every Gym badge you obtain, the more stuff you can buy~ hope that all helped you @.@

Yes very much so thank you!, but for Articuno...I have to play through fire red?(that's the one I have in game boy advance form) ack... and how do you "migrate"? Where do you get a National dex?
Then after those are answered I should be all set to go!
lolz
I wonder if we can battle our pokemons through WiFi on our DS's?

Inoune In reply to 8BitKat [2009-04-14 00:51:47 +0000 UTC]
Okay~ You're welcome.
Articuno is in the Seafoam Islands, south of Fuschia City before you reach Cinnabar Island (that is, if you didn't fly to Pallet Town and surf south to get there)
You have to solve this puzzle inside the Seafoam Islands to reach Articuno, which requires the HMs: Surf and Strength. You'll need 6 badges to use those HMs.
First, to find those two HMs:
Surf is in Fuschia City's Safari Zone's Secret House, which you can reach to in under 600 steps.
Strength is obtained when you find the Warden's Gold teeth, also in the Safari Zone (good thing is, the Gold Teeth is in the same area as the secret house, just a little few steps southward). When you find the Teeth, give it to the Warden, who lives in the house directly east of the Pokemon center and he'll give you Strength.
Once you have those, you're good to go. The whole puzzle itself isn't so hard, just push the boulders you see down some holes to stop the water's flow. Though, there'll be some tricks here and there, but use your instincts and save every time you get a right boulder.
To get the National Dex in Diamond, you need to see all 150 Pokemon of the Sinnoh dex. You can do this without beating the E4, but most people see the last few Pokemon needed while fighting the E4. (Spiritomb, Garchomp, Milotic, Infernape, Vespiquen, Drapion, Hippowdon, etc)
Manaphy is the 151st but isn't required to see.
Once you get the pokedex completed, go back to Sandgem and show Rowan, and Oak will come and upgrade your dex to national. After that dialouge, surf south of Sandgem to route 221 to Pal Park and it'll be open to migrate from Fire Red, Leaf Green, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald.
Where the Pokemon are located I'm unsure right now, so check Serebii.net or Bulbapedia for help on the locations~
We CAN battle our pokemon through Wifi. We'd need to give our friend codes to each other first.(you'll need the Pal Pad to get your code, which is recieved in Oreburgh's downstairs Pokemon Center, then connect to wifi there once and you'll get your code)

Thanks for the info! It's a lot and overwhelming and almost makes playing a pokemon game a chore. But, I think I should just enjoy it and play it through then worry about later for certain pokemon I might want to get because it might take some of the pressure off. I will give you a note when I find out what my Pokemon code is then we can schedule a battle. What level are your pokemon anyway?

Inoune In reply to 8BitKat [2009-04-20 20:51:25 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, just beat the game and worry about all that other stuff later.
You're welcome.
My Pokemon are in the high 60's-low 70's, in Platnium in Diamond, they're rounded to level 100. And my Wifi isn't available either, so we might not be able to battle right off the bat.

O_O; Your pokemon would kill my pokemon...

lolz
Get new low level ones my level? I'm at 25 currently around there somewhere. Yeah sometimes my wi fi for the DS doesn't work because I have the old bulky one so it's picky about WEP and WAP and all the stuff that goes with it.

Inoune In reply to 8BitKat [2009-04-20 21:46:29 +0000 UTC]
Actually I got my wifi to work again XD
Though in Wifi battles, the levels are "pre-set" so you can have Single battle to Level 50 or 100, Double battle to Level 50 or 100. It doesn't matter what original level your Pokemon are, they'll be temporarily "heightened" to Lv 50 or 100.

Just go downstairs in a Pokemon Center other than Sandgem or Jubilife and you'll be able to connect~ You'll get it after one time going in there.
Mine are in my journal in the front page. XD I remember my Diamond one.. by heart.

Oh. Migrate the MB from those games... if you CAN migrate, that is~
π: 0 β©: 1
Inoune In reply to TopARO [2009-04-21 15:24:49 +0000 UTC]
Well if you're just AT Giratina, you wouldn't have seen ALL 210 Pokemon needed for the Sinnoh Dex, therefore you couldn't migrate...
unless you have another game completed and migrate from there and then trade over... but. if Platinum is your ONLY game, then you're skrewed.

Man there were MANY times where that masterball was tempting. XD
Well either way, to vent my frusterations, when I caught em, I just gave them an explicit and embarassing nickname. :3

Inoune In reply to LadyAniDraws [2009-04-13 21:19:04 +0000 UTC]
like "St00pid"? XD
Well sometimes I never had a MB to use them on... XDDD Well in the old skool games. Never knew where to get them until it was too late.
...then again, my friend said the Masterball failed for her on Groudon in Ruby. It broke out... somehow.

Reminds me when I was catching it xD Prolly took me hours with all those Ultra Balls til it finally worked *and I had to restart sometimes, cause my Pokemon would have all been wiped out XDD*
π: 0 β©: 1
Inoune In reply to Eriistrations [2009-04-10 18:57:46 +0000 UTC]
Ah. XD
I never use Ultra balls on Darky... just dusk balls, which has 2 added bonuses: it's at night and in a dark place.
My Umbreon had very crap attack stat so I used him to Bite/Faint attack Darky low enough... and then chunked balls at it.

well.. I caught Mewtwo with pokeball too. but the morale of most legends are annoying. xD
