Description Once again, I am forced to dramatically scale down the full-view to keep file sizes reasonable (480x640~104kB).

I think this is a fine size, although you have to keep scrolling down, it's kind of nice that way. Like a pan of the woods. I have to admit, I don't usually fullview, but it's good to make the image a little less than 1024x768.

Yeah, this is around the size I think I'm settling on. I'm having to readjust what I consider normal resolutions to take into account other people's browsing experience. Hopefully I can strike a good balance; lots of detail, but enjoyable full-views for most people.

im new to deviantart somewhat... but heres my opinion anyway

its your photograph. no one is paying you to do these for you... so you do what YOU want.

i personally like larger images.. it shows the straight up quality of a photograph... ex. such as how much noise is in it.

but thats just me.

I'm torn, though... 800x600 is probably sufficient for most pictures. I don't know, really. I could go either way. I don't think I'll bother to resize all my current gallery items, though, even if I do decide to go to 800x600. Not enough time for that.

So, just your opinion on this, is this full-view too big?

Just trying to get an idea for what's expected on DA (sort of new to the scene). An aside: in your tools, you list PaintChat and OC. I figured out what PaintChat is, but what is OC?

Forced? You should always do that. It's so damn annoying when noobies make gigantic images. >_<

I like to go at least 800x600, 1024x768 is preferred, though it does expand a little past the border of many people's screen. How big is "gigantic"?

(repost of below, still figuring out the DA reply button thing)

OC = opencanvas

Well... It's like just a tad too big to me. I've got a big screen res, and it still goes off onto the side. You don't always need size to make something look good. Alot of really good artwork is resized small, so it comfortably fits on the screen. And it's no less awesome. xD So yeah, make it smaller.
