It collapsed one week before we moved out of that house. High winds, and all that. The landlord wasn't too happy about it, but then, it didn't hit the house, so he got over it. The red cork-looking stuff that's inbetween the roots and the trunk of the tree is actually red rocks that were in the soil around the tree, and got compressed between the roots, trunk, and concrete.
