I realize that I forgot one colour for the colour scheme (her brown wing-tips/eye liner), but somehow Photoshop decided to delete all downloaded/bought/custom brushes off of my PS... *ugly sob*

Well it's just referring to her parents.
"her mother died before she was born"...I am going to assume that Geena hatched from an egg xD so you meant that she died before Geena hatched?
Doesn't laying an egg essentially mean birth? you are born, then you hatch? or does hatching count as birth? O_o
