I have never done colouring like this where I use the colour as the lines instead of pencil or pen. I also very rarely use pencil crayons and never make comics! So every way you look at this, this was an experiment really. It took a really long time to make compared to my usual drawings but I don't know. What do you guys think? If you like it, maybe I'll do more of this stuff. Keep in mind, this is a first attempt; I know it doesn't all match up. I wasn't really sure how to approach this kind of drawing at first.Anyways, this is as the titles states. This is basically how the Chara I write acts. She's often grumpy, loves dogs and chocolate, has a soft spot for Frisk and has a sense of humour about her. I love her so much. XD

Chara: I am confused here. Is it a dog or a cat? If it is a dog, you better pet it a whole bunch Frisk--but if it is not... Shoot, cats are evil. They hold nothing but malevolent intent and dark schemes!
Frisk: ...
Chara: Oh, perhaps it is a dog who has been converted to the side of evil by those tricksy felines and their cunning! Or it is one in disguise... You best not go near it Frisk! It's evil plan is to coax us in, then to strike!

Chara: It is a good thing you have me for your guide Frisk, you surely would have fallen into it's devilish trap! You believe everything can be good, but the cat scoffs at the idea! Nothing can cleanse the black abyss that is the soul of a cat! I saved you from certain demise!
Frisk: *shrug* *clapclapclap*
Chara: No need to thank me. As your partner, keeping you safe is my job!

I like it, all the shading is done well, and that dog is more majestic then any dog I will ever draw in my life.
I'm also new to the "Char as the voice in the dialog theory" (Is that what people are calling it?). Even with that you seemed to draw her older then Frisk. Its an interesting choice for an interesting idea. May I ask, what your reason the decision is?
Or am I just out of the loop and everyone following this theory assumes Chara is much older?

Honestly, I guess that's what you can call that headcannon? And while Chara is floating, she is a bit taller than Frisk. Only by about three or four inches though. Frisk and Chara don't have predetermined ages or genders. I've always sort of had the idea that while they fell into the underground around the same age, Chara stayed with the Dreemurr family for years before she died, ending up with her being older than Frisk physically. Plus, we see the war between monsters and humans using medieval weaponry and yet when they make it out of the underground it's close to modern days? Yeah, I'd say Chara's had some time to mature if eight children fell down and Chara was the first of all of them.
Whoops, that was a little long. Sorry. I uh... I can give some rather lengthy explanations. I apologize. Though that is the basic gist of why I make Chara like I do. It's really all up to personal opinions I guess??

A long answer is fine, and I honestly like your thinking on the situation.
Chara being older due to the passage of time makes sense and fits well into the lore.
It would be difficult to convey without the paragraph of letters and spaces we call language.

Heheh, yeah. Thanks. Some people are very opinionated when it comes to the ages and genders of the two. So I try to keep it mostly neutral with the two of them besides their personalities unless I have a good reason not to behind it. Heh, you can probably tell I've thought too much about stuff. I suppose that's what makes me a story teller though. ^^
