Florida, that's funny. Most people of German heritage I meet either now live in Florida or California - or Canada. Seems like Germans are so unhappy with their weather conditions, they choose "einen Platz an der Sonne" or go where it's even colder - but not so crowded
How come you have such a bond to Germany?
Will you go with your family on vacation or is it gonna be some kind of school exchange thing?

I think most Germans go to Wisconsin, Wisconsin is loaded with them. I used to live there. (:
And I just think I always felt like I should be there, I love it so much when I am ^^ It's home.
I'm flying alone to Germany and then my Grandma or my Godfather will pick me up at the airport. (: But I really want to get into an exchange program, maybe after highschool. That, or I'll live with my Oma for a year, and teach people English as a starter job. ^^ Until I get fluent in German.

Well it's definitely not their warm and open friendliness, here people are much more friendly and less formal. 8)
I guess it would just have to be the way the landscape and cities are in general, they really just look way different than America. Here our houses don't seem to be built the same.

yeah, I'd say Germans are first of all wary. When you manage to destroy their suspicions they can be as warm, open and friendly as anybody else - except if you step on the lawn without permission! Oh - and don't park your car over there, alright?!
Architecture is way different. Perhaps some parts in the north might seem familiar to you.

Compared to Florida, Germany has HUGE trees and the landscape is just completely different in general... Narrower streets and smaller cars in Germany.. ^^

For example: When I take a picture of my friend and they look completly wack, I´d say, ´That´s attractive´8D and then they give me the ´Oh yes...´
Or like yesturday at the pool I saw a guy in a speedo with unsightly tan lines and my friend saw him too so I said ´rawrrrr...´ Sie find das lustig ^^
