Description Drips of despair
Thread my empty hopes
Leaving trails of loss
That never find their way

The absence of certainty
The lust for security
The holes that rest inside
That we cover in shame

The rubble of rusted trust
The scars of past wounds
The footprints of broken time
That leave an open gash

Won’t you take this hand
With a step toward unfamiliar
For the chance to live again

And put behind all that was

I really like the vibes of this peace. It is so uplifting and lets one question the way he lived his life...
The repetitions at the beginning of the stanzas midway of the poem really carry the thought of a repetitive, boring life. As you broke with them throughout the last stanza, you delivered a feeling of something new and unfamiliar...

Thank you my friend I'm glad you checked it out. I haven't been on/adding stuff. Life has a way of implanting its boot on your ass time to time aka got a little busy.Β 

I've been considering trying narration with my poems but I don't see an area on this site where I can upload such things. Do you know if there is anywhere?Β

You mean like adding prose to the poems? I haven't seen any specific folders in any of the groups I know...but I think in the end it only matters if you still define it as a poem
I could of course check some of them for you, if you'd like that.
I know this feeling of being busy...but the better it feels to come back to the work you like to do ^^

I mean audio recording myself reading the writing and posting both the poem as well as the narration of it. Β I don't know if by definition that means prose not overly familiar with the term.Β
