Description
Never used or ever tried making something 3d, didn't read manual to know how to use this 1... just picked up, played a bit, and this is the result. At the moment, just a start on whats next to come, I'd like to figure out some things on the program, and hopefully turn it into a chic.
By then I should have the hang of it, hopefully... Will make a short animation of the chic turning into a fully grown chicken which sounds pretty fun!

Nice, is that 3ds max? Looks different from my maya. Still I'm also up for advice any time you want. Got nothing to show for my work but I do know how most of it works and also a few tricks when creating models

Its not 3s max or maya, just normal anim8or (actual name) pretty basic stuff. More then likely will ask for advice, but yeah, still on basics

Fair enough, good luck creating more
You making me want to create another model on my maya haven't done so in ages and I need to do an up to date model for my portfolio anyway.

I need to check what Maya is, all I did was look online and pick first thing up... since I didn't exactly know what I was looking for. How does it compare to other programs, and how easy is it to create some form of slide show/movie function.

Maya is the most complicated program (so I've been told.) So the tutors decided to teach us that one. Yeah well done there. Anyway it is pretty dificult to pick up at first I found but it didn't take long to create shapes. As far as animation goes on Maya you have to record each frame on a timeline, although it can be made to shortcut frames. Eg: Start a stick man at A and then 30 seconds later at C. It can be made to hover through B at a certain speed.
So um yeah not sure if yours is any better and I'm afraid I'd have to research 3DS to see how that works.

Aye, my program lets me do it in frames also. Was just checking.

Looks like a funky, angry chicken thing.
Good job getting basic shapes down, if you do need more advice there are some groups on dA you could watch/join.

Cute! Well done on concepting it out. Simple shapes are the best to start out with. If you need any 3-D help, just message me. I worked with Maya 2008 for a while.

Sounds like a plan. You seem to be doing well enough on your own though! ^^
