Episode 12 –

Robbie asks Vinsun and Paul why they voted off Xadrian, and Vinsun once again says his animal abuse was concerning. In truth, Vinsun is annoyed that he was wrong, and vows to get rid of Fifi next time.

Savannah is in the Champion’s Cabin for two nights in a row. Ub notes that they now have the most players, which gives them an advantage in challenges. Sampson points out that they’ve only lost two challenges so they have all the advantages they need.

Andy tells Otis that he likes Quana, and Otis admits he doesn’t know the first thing about love. He starts listing off his dating disasters, which doesn’t help Andy at all.

Quana goes for a walk, still needing some time to process her feelings for Andy. She sees Tabitha paddling her feet on the dock and goes to talk to her. Her presence takes Tabitha by surprise, but they talk anyway, and Quana brings up how she might have a crush on Andy. Tabitha suggests that she think about it a bit longer before making any sudden moves (In truth, Tabitha doesn’t want people hooking up because that spells alliances). In the middle of their conversation, Kim shows up. Quana starts yelling at her at kicks her in the private parts, making her fall to the ground. After Quana leaves, Tabitha asks if that hurt. Kim replies, ‘Of course it did! What are you, a tranny?’

In the morning, Ivy and Kelly eat ice-cream outside the cabin. Donny and Jethro come over and Donny says he’d like some, as long as it’s not pistachio. Jethro questions how she still has ice-cream left after two weeks, and says she must have magic ice powers.

The final 16 are split in the new teams

Team Graveyard – Andy, Donny, Ivy, Jethro, Otis, Tabitha, Ub, Zita

Team Thunderbolt – Fifi, Kelly, Paul, Quana, Robbie, Sampson, Vinsun, Yannis

The challenge is a racing challenge. The pairs are as follows (first person drives)

Jethro and Donny, Andy and Otis, Tabitha and Ivy, Zita and Ub

Fifi and Quana, Vinsun and Paul, Yannis and Sampson, Kelly and Robbie

Vinsun completely over-estimates his abilities and ends up crashing. Andy is leading for most of the race but Otis keep distracting him and they crash in the last lap.

It comes down to Zita and Ub against Fifi and Quana. While Fifi is a more skilled driver, going against Zita affects her emotionally and her opponent barely beats her.

After the challenge, everyone is informed that there is an immunity idol

Paul, Robbie and Vinsun team up to get rid of Fifi, while Fifi ropes together a girls’ alliance with Kelly and Quana, and they target Robbie. Fifi tries to get Paul and Vinsun on her side again. Vinsun tells them they’ll ‘think about it’, though as soon as Fifi leaves he says ‘no’. Sampson and Yannis end up being the swing votes – they ultimately decide that Fifi will cause more drama and help them stay under the radar.

Robbie is eliminated 5-3

Episode 13 –

Fifi is under the illusion that the last elimination was 7 votes against 1, not realising that Vinsun and Paul also voted for her. She even brings this up to Vinsun and Paul. Paul tries to correct her but Vinsun stops him in time. Paul tells Vinsun that he doesn’t like lying to Fifi, but Vinsun says they’re not going to target her next time.

Fifi, Kelly and Quana bond in the girls’ side of the cabin. They discuss what they want to do with the million dollars – Quana wants to finance her singing career, Fifi would donate it to a domestic abuse shelter, and Kelly mumbles about how she’d give it to her family.

Paul and Yannis are happy to be re-united, though Yannis isn’t happy about losing Ub. Paul suggests merging their alliances together, and Yannis and Sampson agree. Vinsun makes a confessional calling Paul an idiot and saying he wanted to be a swing vote. Sampson is just happy to be away from Otis.

Team Thunderbolt celebrates their first victory. Donny is especially happy to be back in the Champions’ Cabin for the first time since day 3. Otis wants to watch TV but the cable won’t start, but Andy and Ub manage to get him away before he breaks it. Jethro gets Tabitha alone and once again proposes an alliance. Tabitha says she’ll think about it. Tabitha confesses that she is much more interested in finding the immunity idol at the moment. Ivy and Zita chat and the topic turns to boys – Ivy admits that she’s bi and she has a crush on Kelly, while Zita says she likes a boy who got voted off, but doesn’t want to say his name out loud.

In the morning, Kelly goes hunting for the immunity idol and bumps into Otis, who tells her he spotted something wooden across the stream. Kelly goes to get it and Otis leaves before she realises he tricked her.

The challenge is swimming underwater to look for treasure chests.

The guys are very happy to see the girls in swim-wear, particularly Andy. Quana wears a striped one-piece and acts flirty around him, which makes him too embarrassed to say much.

Fifi wears a wetsuit because she doesn’t like being objectified, while Kelly sports a purple bikini which drives Ivy crazy. Otis squeezes Sampson’s pecks and says he has ‘lovely titties’ and Sampson yells at him to back off since they are no longer team-mates. But nobody is more aroused than Jethro. At one point, he gropes Ivy and when she notices he ‘apologises’ for bumping into her.

Kelly, Quana and Vinsun all prove to be skilled swimmers. Team Graveyard doesn’t have anyone of the same skill-set which puts them at a disadvantage, and Donny and Ub in particular have trouble pushing the chests underwater. Team Thunderbolt wins and Team Graveyard has to send someone home.

Tabitha decides to take Jethro up on his offer, and together with Donny and Ivy they form a four-person alliance.

Meanwhile, Ub worries that Team Everest will gang up on the rest of them, so he brings together Andy, Otis and Zita and suggests they vote in a bloc.

In order to insure their security, Jethro gets Zita alone and hypnotises her into voting his way.

Ub is eliminated 5-3

Episode 14

Kim meets up with Tabitha in one of the blind-spots. Tabitha asks if she can get her the immunity idol. Kim says she will as long as Tabitha makes sure Ivy is eliminated next time. Tabitha protests that Ivy is her ally and getting rid of her could wreck her game, and Kim says she is not letting a ‘black dyke’ make it far. Tabitha points out that she forced Jade to be her ally last time, and Kim says that Jade wasn’t happy in that position, and she also got injured, so it’s not the same. Tabitha tries to convince her to switch to Andy since he’s half-Asian (which Kim is surprised by ‘he’s as white as a snowman’), but Kim won’t budge, so Tabitha reluctantly accepts the offer.

Team Thunderbolt enjoys their first night as a team in the Champions’ Cabin. Kelly in particular is happy to be there for the first time since episode 4.

Fifi, Kelly and Quana calls dibs on the living room and play Singstar together (Quana wins by a landslide). Vinsun and Paul also watch, since Vinsun wants to stay on their good side. Meanwhile, Sampson and Yannis hang out in the common room and discuss Ub’s elimination

On Team Graveyard, Andy, Otis and Zita are devastated that Ub is eliminated, since he was the brains behind their alliance. Otis puts himself forward as the new leader – Andy and Zita are reluctant about this but admit that neither of them know much about strategy. Otis hasn’t a clue of what to do and simply suggests they mingle with the other side. They also question how Ub got eliminated and Zita admits she doesn’t remember voting

Tabitha comes back to the cabin late and Jethro is waiting for her on the porch. He takes out his pocket watch and hypnotises her to ask where she was, and Tabitha admits she was with Kim who would give her the idol if she backstabbed Ivy. Jethro laughs and says, ‘Naughty girl’. Tabitha asks how he did that, and Jethro responds with ‘how do you think Ub got eliminated last night?’ Jethro can’t believe that Tabitha would throw away their majority just for ‘a stupid idol’ and Tabitha insists that he wouldn’t understand. Jethro laughs and says he understands much better than she does.

Today’s challenge is working with favourites from last season. Jethro picked Donald (enjoyed his strategy and that he’s rich), Quana picked Eleanor (thought she was a sweet girl who should have lasted longer), Andy picked Imanda (admits he had a crush on her before he met Quana), Sampson picked Morton (related to his laziness), Yannis picked Winnie (refuses to say why), Otis picked Sophie (enjoyed her loud nature) and Kelly picked Yoko (thinks she’s a sweet girl). Ivy and Zita both picked Jade, so Jade flips a coin and gets Ivy. Zita gets Bonnie as a replacement.  Fifi and Tabitha both picked Quadesh but she can’t work with them since she’s the host, so Fifi gets Harvey and Tabitha gets Oscar. Finally, Donny, Paul and Vinsun all picked Zed. Zed requests that he work with Paul (since he’s afraid of the other two), while Donny gets Alice and Vinsun gets Lavender.

The first part of the challenge is jumping off the cliff. Most of them jump, though Paul refuses because he’s afraid, and Sampson refuses because he can’t be bothered. Ivy and Jade are about to jump when a rock flies in out of nowhere and hits Jade in the head, knocking her out. Since both of them have to jump, Ivy is eliminated. A confessional shows Kim saying she thought she’d give Tabitha a helping hand.

The next challenge is hide and seek, with Gary as the seeker.

Zita and Bonne hide under the dock of shame and are first to be found. Fifi and Harvey hide in the boys’ bathroom, and Fifi is horrified by the smell. Harvey asks why they didn’t hide in the girls’ and Fifi is repulsed that he’d trying spreading the smell over there. Gary hears them arguing and finds them.

Donny and Alice hide in a rabbit hole and are never found. Andy and Imanda hide in the loser cabin and are found. Jethro and Donald hide in Donald’s room and spend the hour paying chess. Jethro manages to win though it is a close match. Quana and Eleanor hide under canoes on the beach and are last to be found. Otis, Yannis and their partners all survive, hiding on the Mess Hall roof and in the boathouse respectively. (Gary actually comes into the boat house but doesn’t notice Yannis and Winnie crouching against the wall).

The final challenge is hanging onto metal bars above the water. Donny can’t even reach the bars so he forfeits. Winnie falls off the bars, meaning Yannis is eliminated as they were the only Thunderbolt duo remaining. Jethro and Otis both win for Team Graveyard.

Fifi is still convinced that the last elimination was unanimous and everyone is on their side. She decides to get rid of Yannis, since she doesn’t feel as close to him as Vinsun and Paul, and Sampson is ineligible. Kelly doesn’t feel so safe so she goes spying on Yannis and follows him to an alliance meeting. Paul says that Vinsun promised they wouldn’t get rid of Fifi next time, since he feels bad for lying to her. They agree to get rid of Kelly – since Kelly was on neither of their teams, they feel they don’t know her as well as Quana. Kelly wants to split up their alliance, but isn’t sure how to do this, so she comes up with the next best thing.

Sampson and Yannis find Kelly outside the cabin crying. Kelly tells them that Quana gave her a black eye for sitting on her bed (it’s actually makeup). Sampson and Yannis are horrified by this, and convince Paul and Vinsun to change the target.

Quana is eliminated 4-3. This comes as a surprise to Vinsun, since he voted off Yannis in hopes of becoming a swing vote, with plans to pin the blame on Sampson and cause in-alliance tensions. The episode ends with a confessional from Vinsun, ‘My plan is ruined! Why is Kelly such an emotional wreck…or is she?’

Episode 15

Vinsun confronts Kelly and says he is sorry about her black eye, and asks if he can take a look at it. Kelly tells him not to touch it, but Vinsun pins her arm down and dabs at her eye with a wet cotton ball, revealing it to be makeup. Vinsun suggests that they team up and become the swing votes, and Kelly agrees, since she is backed into a corner as it is.

Tabitha finds Kim and asks if she will give her one more day to get rid of Ivy. Kim tells her she is too late, because she has given the immunity idol to her ‘good friend’ Jethro. Tabitha is horrified by this and goes to confront Jethro, demanding that he give the idol to her. Jethro says no way, and makes this out to be a good thing, since one of them has immunity, and they don’t have to backstab their allies.

Paul, Sampson and Yannis are happy to have had their way at the elimination and are convinced that they are safe until the merge. Paul says even if they lose another two challenges, the four of them are still in the game. They also discuss who they might ally with in the merge. Paul says he saw Ub being in the final 4 with them, and his elimination was bad luck.

Andy is devastated to learn that Quana was eliminated. Otis tells him that Quana knows that he likes her, so they can sort things out the next time they see each other. The idea that Quana now knows freaks Andy out, and Otis tries slapping him to calm him down. Andy is angry at Otis for doing so, and Otis shrugs and says ‘it works in cartoons’.

Zita and Ivy play checkers in the games room. Ivy continues trying to press Zita on who she likes. Zita won’t say, but asks Ivy why she likes Kelly so much. Ivy goes on about how she’s a sweet girl, and she has lovely hair and eyes, and…she stops after realising Zita removed half of her pieces from the board while she wasn’t looking.

In the morning, Donny accidentally walks into Fifi in the mess hall. Fifi drops her tray and accuses Donny of doing that on purpose. Donny tries to shut her up by throwing an orange at her face, but she ducks and it hits Otis. Otis screams ‘Food fight!’ and before you know it, everyone in the mess hall is in on the action. It only stops when Quadesh and Yoko and come in and Yoko screams at the top of her voice.

Yoko tells everyone that Donald is ‘deathly ill’ and the two teams have to make him get-well cards. After everyone leaves the Mess Hall, Kim is left to clean it up as a penalty for giving another player the immunity idol. Kim is furious about this and vows to find another way to get Ivy out of the game.

On Team Graveyard, Andy suggests making a space-themed card. The rest of the team is on board with the idea, but Tabitha states they’ll need a little more ‘pizazz’ to get a victory. Zita says since Donald is rich he might appreciate if the card is shiny, and Otis calls the glitter glue.

On Team Thunderbolt, Fifi sarcastically says they could do a singing card, and who would be able to sing for them, ‘oh wait, Quana is out’. Yannis offers to do illustrations, as he is a talented artist, and Kelly offers to sing if it is needed.

Donald picks Team Thunderbolt as the winner, feeling they put more work into their card, and admitting Team Graveyard’s card was so shiny it made him even more ill.

Andy and Zita are convinced that they’re backed into a corner, but Otis assures them that they will all make it to the next episode. Meanwhile, Kim is in the boy’s side of the Middle Place Cabin, where Team Thunderbolt’s suitcases were taken. She is rummaging through Jethro’s suitcase and trying to find the Immunity idol, but she hears someone coming and hides under the bed. Otis walks in and notes that Jethro got comfortable very quickly. He then notices a lump in the inside front pocket and unzips it, finding the Immunity Idol. Kim is furious because she spent 5 minutes looking through Jethro’s stuff and the ‘spastic’ found it in under 30 seconds.

Otis shows the idol to Andy and Zita, but Andy points out that they can only use the idol once, and have idea who the other side will vote for. Zita says she has an idea to turn the rest of the team against her.

The rest of Team Thunderbolt notice that their prized possessions have gone missing, when Zita pops out with a sack and admits she stole them. Tabitha, Ivy and Donny are set on getting rid of Zita, but Jethro is worried that Zita took his idol, since it is not where he left it, and fears they may try to get rid of him. He confronts Zita and says he will vote with her, pointing out that her alliance will stay safe for longer if they have the idol next round. Zita agrees, and says she will tell Otis and Andy.

Donny is eliminated 4-3. Donny is particularly shocked by what happened and Jethro accuses Tabitha of backstabbing him. Tabitha accuses Jethro of the same thing, and asks Ivy to back her up, but Ivy isn’t so sure.

Episode 16 –

Jethro and Tabitha continue to argue over who backstabbed Donny, and Ivy gets sick of it and walks away. After Ivy leaves, Jethro tells Tabitha that Zita has the immunity idol, and Tabitha is angry that he voted with them despite knowing that. Jethro says he was worried that they would target him, but Tabitha is still pissed that he let such a mess happen

The rest of Team Graveyard is delighted that they have a fighting chance once again. Otis reminds them that Jethro may or may not be on their side ‘once a backstabber, always a backstabber’, and they will have to be careful in how they play the idol in case the other side targets the wrong person. Andy is amazed that Otis worked this all out, and Otis shrugs that he may have ADHD but he’s not stupid.

Sampson is certain that the merge will be the next day, and Paul and Yannis question who will be returning. They both hope for Ub, to re-complete their original alliance, and Sampson hopes for Carlton since he would be the easiest opponent in the finale.

Fifi is still stressing out over Quana’s elimination, and Kelly assures her that they’re not going anywhere. In order to get her mind off it, Kelly asks her what her favourite film is, and Fifi says Thelma and Louise due to its theme of female empowerment. Kelly says her favourite is Mrs Doubtfire – she had it on video as a child and it brings back good memories. Fifi says she hates that film for being hateful towards transgenders.

The challenge the next day is snakes and ladders. The 12 contestants participate in groups of six, with 5 points being awarded to the winner of each round, 3 to the runner up and 1 to the third place. The team with the most points wins the challenge.

Andy, Otis, Ivy, Kelly, Fifi and Sampson participate in round 1, and Tabitha, Zita, Jethro, Yannis, Vinsun and Paul participate in round 2.

In round 1, Sampson wins, Otis comes second, and Fifi comes third, starting the score at 6-3

In round 2, Yannis wins, Tabitha comes second, and Jethro comes third. The score is 11-7, giving Team Thunderbolt a second victory in a row

Ivy still isn’t sure whether to trust Jethro and Tabitha, but decides she has no choice but to stay on their side. Jethro suggests they should either vote for Andy or Otis, since Zita has the idol. Tabitha decides to go with Otis, since Andy is more well liked and would be harder to beat in a tiebreaker vote.

The other alliance decide to vote for Tabitha, since Jethro is somewhat on their side and Zita has a bond with Ivy. Zita is worried since Jethro knows about the idol, so he may have told the others. Andy realises that they may switch their vote and target someone else, and the three argue over why they would be the target. Eventually, Andy decides that they should draw straws (but they don’t have straws so they use blades of grass). Andy draws the longest straw so he gets the idol.

At the ceremony, Andy plays the idol, but it was pointless because he did not receive any votes. It is a tie between Otis and Tabitha. The tiebreaker vote is Paul, who decides to save Tabitha because Otis kind of scares him. Otis leaves in 12th place

Episode 17

Andy and Zita are devastated that Otis is gone. Zita sighs that Jethro is their last hope. Andy agrees, ‘unfortunately, our only chance is someone else’s foul play’

In the girls’ cabin, Ivy refuses to talk to Tabitha. Zita can’t take all the tension, so she admits that it was Jethro who backstabbed them, explaining that Otis took his idol and things happened from there. Ivy and Tabitha make up, and assure each other that neither of them will be going anywhere. In the confessional, Tabitha is relieved that Zita took the target off her back, and Zita admits that she confessed so if all else fails, they will eliminate Andy first.

On the boys’ side, Andy tries conversing with Jethro, and asks him how Ub got eliminated. Jethro tells him that it’s classified information, so Andy moves onto something more casual, ‘what’s your family like?’ Jethro is visibly anxious, but tells Andy that he comes from a long line of business people, and he’s an only child. Andy says his father is Japanese, and his mother is Canadian. A following confessional shows Jethro babbling as if he is in trauma.

In the winners’ cabin, Sampson is frustrated that the merge didn’t come that day. Yannis assures him that it won’t be long, and they can still win every challenge. Paul admits that he was the tiebreaker vote, and Vinsun asks him why he voted for Otis. Paul says Otis creeps him out, and in the confessional Vinsun is frustrated because ‘like Sampson said, the merge is coming soon, and I’d rather face someone who is a mental retard over someone who…well…isn’t’

Fifi and Kelly hang out in one of the bedrooms. Fifi notices that Kelly is shaking and assures her that they will make it through – even if Vinsun and Paul made the ‘unforgivable’ move of voting off Quana, it doesn’t mean they won’t vote with them next time. In reality, Kelly is anxious about backstabbing Quana and her secret pact with Vinsun, and can’t believe the lengths she is going to stay in the game.

The challenge is a hedge maze. Everyone splits into groups. Team Graveyard split into Andy and Zita, and Ivy, Jethro and Tabitha. Team Thunderbolt split into Fifi and Kelly, Paul and Vinsun, and Sampson and Yannis.

Fifi and Kelly come across a door that asks political question – first ‘how many women have been US presidents’ (Fifi: *sighs* zero), then ‘who will be elected US president in 2032?’ (Kelly: Quadesh), and ‘which side of politics is the best?’ Fifi exclaims ‘left’ only to be told she is wrong. Kelly reminds her who hosts this game. The door refuses to open so they have to find another way around.

Andy and Zita come across another door. First they are asked ‘what is Yoko’s last name?’ Andy correctly answers ‘Sujutzi’. They are then asked what country Mario is from, and Zita answers ‘Italy’. Finally, they have to scare the door, and Andy gives his loudest ‘BOO!’. The door opens and they pass through.

Paul and Vinsun are asked which Diesel has a claw on his back, and Paul answers ‘Diesel 10’. Next they are asked which Teletubby is green – Paul answers ‘Dipsy’, and finally they are asked which My Little Pony is blue, and Paul answers ‘Rainbow Dash’. Vinsun remarks in the confessional that for once Paul helped them by being a ‘soppy poof’.

Ivy, Jethro and Tabitha encounter some robot monsters, and two of them attack Jethro and pin him to the ground. He cries for help, but Tabitha remarks that now he knows what it’s like to be betrayed, and she and Ivy move on.

Sampson and Yannis also encounter some robot monsters, but whenever they try attacking Sampson, they bounce off his ass-fat.

Andy and Zita reach the centre first and win the challenge.

At elimination, Kelly and Vinsun meet up. Vinsun is set on getting rid of Paul – mainly because it would be easier to pin the backstabbing on Sampson or Yannis. Kelly points out that Fifi thinks he and Paul are still on their side, but Vinsun insists that getting rid of Yannis is too much of a risk at this point, as Paul may put two and two together and squeal. They argue back and forth a bit, but Kelly gives in and says she will talk to Fifi.

Kelly tells Fifi that Sampson wants to jump ship, so Fifi reluctantly agrees to vote for Paul.

Meanwhile, the boys discuss who to vote for. Paul wants to get rid of Kelly, but Sampson insists that Fifi has outlived her usefulness – she was good for causing drama while there were other players on the team, but there’s no point in keeping her any longer. Vinsun ‘reluctantly’ agrees, reminding Paul that Fifi was a nightmare when she was the only girl on Team Mongolia. Paul concedes that he is outnumbered.

Kim is still furious that Ivy survived two eliminations in a row, and fears there may not be a ‘next time’, so she decides to take action. When Ivy enters her room in the Champions’ Cabin, she finds a note on her pillow saying ‘Meet me at the Boat-house. We need to talk. Your secret admirer’. Ivy believes that it’s Kelly and sets off. Tabitha enters the room a few minutes later to ask Ivy if she wants to play a board game, but she finds the note on her bed and immediately recognises the handwriting. She freaks out and runs as fast as she can.

Ivy enters the boat-house, only to find that it is empty and the floor is covered in oil. Suddenly, she hears a scream, ‘IVY!!! NO!!!’. The floor begins to set on fire, but the scream alerts Ivy in time and she is able to leap over the fire and burst open the door. She rubs her head only to see Tabitha and Kim in a physical fight. Kim still has the lighter in her hand and tries to aim it at Tabitha but Tabitha has her arm pinned and is trying to prise away her fingers. Kim eventually manages to muster enough strength to get her arm free, but loses grip of the lighter and it lands on her head, setting her hair on fire. She runs away screaming and Tabitha gets back to her feet. She takes one look at Ivy and immediately starts bawling on her shoulder. This lasts a whole thirty seconds, and then Ivy tells her they better get help because the whole boat-house is on fire. Tabitha takes one look at the boat-house and cries even harder.

In the confessional, Tabitha insists that she is an excellent actress and is able to cry on demand, but she keeps stuttering as she says this.

The elimination ceremony is a tie, with 3 votes against Fifi, and 3 votes against Paul. The tiebreaker is Ivy, but she has too much on her mind to make a decision, so she flips a coin and votes for Fifi. Fifi leaves in 11th place. Vinsun is secretly happy about this because not only did he cause chaos on the team, but he also kept both of his allies.

Episode 18 –

The episode starts with Quadesh and Yoko delivering the recap. Quadesh informs the viewers that Kim has been arrested and taken into custody. While the cameras were switched off, all the evidence is against her (the handwriting on the note, her singed hair, and a testimony from Ivy (Tabitha refused to speak))

(In the aftermath the following episode, Tabitha’s parents appear by satellite and tell Kim they have no intention to help a ‘slut’ such as herself)

The rest of Team Graveyard hears about the incident from Ivy, and everyone is horrified, including Jethro. Andy says that he knew Kim was sick in the head but he never thought she’d try and kill someone. Zita tells Ivy that they will do whatever it takes to get her through this. Ivy says she’d like to get her mind off it with a game of freeze tag, and they agree. By this point, Jethro has gone off.

Jethro enters Tabitha’s room and comments that she looks traumatised. Tabitha doesn’t respond. Jethro questions if Tabitha is for real, and ponders the possibility that she knew Kim would eliminate Ivy, but couldn’t go through with it. Or perhaps she set up the fire so she could save Ivy’s life and earn sympathy points. Tabitha shoots him an angry glare so Jethro drops it. He sits on her bed and says he knows what it’s like to lose someone you care about. He tells Tabitha that he used to have a conjoined twin called Jane, but she died when he was 7. Tabitha finally speaks, and states that having a male and female conjoined twin is impossible. Jethro tries to explain, but Tabitha accuses him of making the story up to try and manipulate her, and she yells at him to leave.

In the confessional, Jethro explains that Jane had Turner’s Syndrome, meaning that even though they came from the same egg, Jane lost her Y-chromosome, and was born a girl.

Team Thunderbolt are unaware of what happened. Vinsun acts ‘angry’ over the previous elimination, and asks the other boys which one of them did it. Paul suggests Sampson, pointing out that the rest of them were friends from the start, but they only allied with Sampson after the first merge. Sampson denies this, and tells them that he would have had to ask Fifi and Kelly who they were voting for, and that would have been too much work. Vinsun says he has his eye on both of them.

Kelly goes for a walk and encounters the burned down boathouse. She asks aloud what happened, and Oscar, who was standing beside her drinking from a flask, explains what happened. Kelly is understandably shocked, since Ivy was a team-mate and a friend, and calls Kim a psychopath. Oscar says he wishes he had figured out sooner – so many people could have avoided being hurt. Kelly asks Oscar if he thinks she’s a bad person. Oscar asks what she means, and Kelly reminds him of when she backstabbed Quana, and started an alliance with Vinsun. Before Oscar answers, she assures him that she’s nothing like this in real life, and she’s just trying to help out her family. Oscar tells her that there are other players who have done worse but are nowhere near as in need of money. He can’t give any more details, but Kelly keeps it in mind.

At breakfast, Kelly tells her team about the incident, and everyone is taken aback. Except Vinsun who says in the confessional that he would have liked another player to leave. Paul seems to be affected the most, and runs away in tears.

The challenge is to build dinosaur skeletons. Paul does not show up to the challenge, so they have to do it without him.

Team Thunderbolt are at a numbers disadvantage, not only because of Paul, but also because of Sampson being lazy. On Team Graveyard, Tabitha struggles with the challenge because she is still traumatised, but does her best because she is aware of the consequences if she loses.

Meanwhile, Paul sneaks over to the Champions Cabin and locks himself inside one of the bedrooms, using chairs and the bedside table as a barricade. He then wraps himself up in the duvets and moans over and over, ‘I’m going to get hurt, I’m going to get hurt’. After a while, Raven and Eleanor enter to cabin and try to get convince him to come out, but he refuses.

Team Graveyard wins the challenge twice in a row. Team Thunderbolt also go the Champions Cabin to try and convince Paul to come out. Sampson asks Paul what is he afraid of, and Paul goes on about how the island isn’t safe, and he’s ‘going to end up like her’. Vinsun asks ‘who is ‘her’? and Paul gives in, opens the door and says they can discuss it at the cabin.

When they get back, Paul breaks down and says that Ivy almost getting killed affected him negatively. He finally admits that he has germaphobia because his sister died while they were playing in the woods, and he auditioned for this show in hope of facing his fear. He says it worked at first, but the incident with Ivy has proven that this island isn’t safe. He tells his alliance to vote him off, but they assure him he will be okay and he needs to keep going. Paul insists that he has made his mind up, and crawls into bed.

Vinsun states in the confessional that he is at a dilemma, because Paul and Kelly are both his allies, and while Paul is more trustworthy, he thinks he will be a liability in challenges in his current state, and if they lose again, he has no idea how Yannis and Sampson will vote.

Paul is eliminated after getting votes from Vinsun, Kelly and himself.

Episode 19

Vinsun and Yannis both agree that Sampson is the backstabber, and tell him that they are cutting ties with him come the merge. Sampson says he doesn’t care, because he’s a plant, but in reality he’s annoyed because he knows the merge is coming any day and people will likely return to the game and expose him

Kelly is uneasy due to how close she was to being to eliminated, and decides she needs to hunt for the immunity idol. She bumps into Andy, who is on a nature walk, and he figures out what she is doing and informs her that he used the idol two days earlier. Kelly notes that the two teams don’t communicate that much, and the merge is coming soon. Andy says they can put a stop to that right now, and starts telling her about himself – how he wants to go into space, and how he’s half Japanese. Kelly says she was born in the South, but moved to Canada when she was younger. She tries to say something else, but she finds herself hesitating and says she better head back.

Jethro tries talking to Tabitha again, but she yells at him to get lost. Before he leaves, he assures her that he wasn’t lying about Jane, and he can sense that she also has some skeletons.

Ivy and Zita watch CSI together. Zita says she studies the show religiously to make sure she doesn’t make the same mistakes. Ivy asks what is the biggest thing she has stolen, and she says she once stole her school principal’s computer. She returned it anonymously the next day, but she removed everyone’s absence records.

The challenge is squashing goombas. It’s a very close race, but in the end, Team Graveyard has a numbers advantage, having one extra player and Sampson not doing anything.

Since he no longer has an alliance, Sampson decides to vote with Kelly. Vinsun wants to get rid of Yannis but realises it would give his game away, so he holds his nose and reluctantly votes for Kelly.

The vote is a tie. The tiebraker is Jethro, who votes for Yannis because Kelly was one of Tabitha’s allies.

At the end of the episode, the eight remaining the contestants are told that the merge has begun. Jethro manages to get Vinsun alone, and tells him to ‘snap out of it’. Vinsun returns to his original self and immediately freaks out over everything he’s done, and he can’t believe he backstabbed Paul and Yannis. Jethro assures him that he won’t tell anyone, as long as he votes with him from now on. Vinsun reluctantly agrees.

Well, at least Paul didn't get stabbed this time. Or broke a leg.

I guess next episode was the Mess Hall fire, but with Kim out of the picture, I guess it was saved for last episode?

Paul may have left unscathed, but he didn't have enough support from other contestants to overcome his fears

No, there won't be a mess hall fire. The boat house fire was this universe's equivalent. And things are dramatic enough as it is with so many villains left in the game

Yes. And Tabitha lets her guard down and may or may not have got away with it

Otis could take on a Sloppy Joe monster and Disney World, but he couldn't take on Tabitha...

I know. But much like the last challenge, the elimination was very up to chance

Yes, there's some artful strategists on each team. Even Ub couldn't keep up
