I had seen the trailer for the new Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe movie, and suddenly remembered how much I love Narnia. I used to copy the illustrations out of the books when I was little.This was just something I started drawing, without really thinking about it. It's Mr. Tumnus the faun, seconds before his encounter with Lucy. She's currently in the trees behind the lamppost.

Lovely picture! I love The Chronicles of Narnia and this is a lovely illustration to match the books. I like the composition--how your eye is first drawn to Mr. Tumnus and then directly to the lamp post. Well done!

i adore these books, always have. it's rare that i come across an artist who can do them any sort of justice at all, and you certainly have done that. the forest, the lampost, his umbrella are all perfect. i absolutely love this.
