SEASON 2 THIS MONTH YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAH!!!
I had to make hype art. It's pretty simple, but it was fun! I've never really drawn somebody with Teru's hairstyle before as well, so that was a fun thing to try!
Can't wait to see all my good boi's in action. :'D

Hmm, backgrounds is a hard one. It kinda depends on what you want. Do you want a background that is an actual place? Or a background that is more like a playful wallpaper?
As for clothing folds, I'd say pay a lot of attention to how they look IRL, as well as how artists you like draw them, also pay attention to how the body moves or bends underneath the clothing, because that's 90% of what makes the wrinkles in the first place. I have a tutorial I made at some point... um here!

Thank you so much!!! I can't believe you replied back, *fangirls* *cough* I was talking about an actual place type of backgrounds. Background containing trees, grass, water, streets, city buildings. How do you create those images online of irl backgrounds onto your drawing scenes?

Okay, well for one thing I look up a LOT of references, especially for cities and things I don't feel like I know how to draw... which is pretty much everything when it comes to a background. xD
From there I find out what I want the perspective of the image to be, because that will decide a LOT of how things are placed and/or look.
Once you've figured out what perspective you want (even if it's completely flat or 2D) I would sketch out really roughly what you want the whole thing to look like, character included (I'd put the sketched out character on a separate layer [if you do digital] though so that it's easier to not accidentally erase part of either piece) nothing needs to be super accurate in terms of detail or shape, just enough so that you know generally what you want everything to look like and where.
After that I often do a more detailed sketch over anything to get a better grasp on details and where I want things. After that it's just a matter of either doing lineart and coloring it or just coloring it and refining it.

Oh, thank you!!! And no it very helped and I thank you very much for texting back!! For just one more question to not waste your time, do you by chance make speed paints? And do you have some tips on how to make the lineart for anime drawings not too bold like a cartoon but more like a realistic look? That's what some of your amazing drawings show to be, and it never stops to amaze me. So, I just wanted to know how you do it!

As for your questions:
No, sadly I have not made any speedpaints.
Yes I do have some advice for lines I think. xD One thing I do is make them pretty small. This makes sure that they're not too bold, but they still hold form. Another thing is I often don't use the 'pen' tools, after watching some speedpaints I started using pencil brushes instead so that the lines would be less harsh, that way they don't stand out as much. Sometimes it just depends on the impression you want your art to give. Because if you're going for a very true-to-anime as in actual anime shows, you're going to want the lineart to be more obvious, if you're doing your own thing with it then you might want it near invisible/blending in with your picture.
Oh another thing! A good thing to do with lineart is to color it. So if you want it to blend in more, you change parts of it to be closer to the color of whatever it's next to.
