I'm probably on the naughty list just cause I haven't drawn this wonderful man since I've been an Fullmetal Alchemist fan. :'D
With a side of Riza cause ya'know.
Honestly though this was very fun and that fire is the best fire I think I've ever drawn. 8D

While I do have a few minor criticisms of the art, for the most part, this is very well done! the detail on the clothes and the eyes look great, but better than that, the amazing detail of the storm and the inclusion of the reflection of the fire on Roy Mustang's face really make this artwork stand out!
As for the criticisms I mentioned, it would just be that Roy's expression seems a bit off from how it would be in the series (his smile especially makes him seem more like someone who enjoys chaos than what he actually is, which is someone who only enjoys destruction when it occurs to his most hated enemies, and someone who is otherwise relatively controlled), and that Hawkeye's clothes seem to make her seem a bit larger than she actually is in the series. But still, even with these problems, the art still is amazing! I hope I'll see some more intense art like this from you in the future!

Given that the art wasn't really supposed to be in canon taste, more just me having fun drawing Roy then I get why that's a little canon breaking.
Hmm, Didn't think of that, most of it is just supposed to be her clothing spreading out in the force of wind/flame.

Is this meant to be any scene in particular from Fullmetal Alchemist or was it made as just a scene showing Mustang and Hawkeye in some sort of combat against no enemy in particular?

It's no scene in particular, I was just drawing Roy initially and it evolved from there. We have no idea how many various missions they went over the years, so this could be practically anywhere.

He looks WAY too happy using that fire- which is frickin' AWESOME by the way!! The embers and glow, the fire itself, it's soo good!! Also, I've said it a million times and I'll say it again- EXPRESSIONSSSSSS!!! Mustang is kinda scary with the fire glow and that expression- but sooo cool!! And Hawkeye in the background, of course, looking awesome! Honestly the background with the clouds and the broken glass being cooler colors and then just frickin' bursting in with that fire- it's a really good scene altogether AND apart! I can take a moment to look at what Riza or Roy are doing, then a moment to enjoy the scenery, and then a moment to look at the whole thing together and be absolutely BLOWN AWAY- Lot's of caps and exclamation points in this but HOLY COW I LOVE THIS.
