My first Death Note fanart
I LOVE the series to pieces, but was disappointed in the second half of the manga.. but I won't say why! I'm not going to spoil it for those who haven't read it.Anyway, I can't figure out how to write Ryuk's name. I've seen Ryuk, Ryuuk, Ryuuku, and I'm not sure what is right
Could be more spellings of it too, but who knows.. I don't have the energy to go searching for the proper spelling. But in any case, he is in a close race with Light and L for my favorite!EDIT: Uploaded newer version with very minor change, made eyelids darker

Aw, Death Note~ I've never seen the anime or the full manga but about four years ago I read a one-shot manga called Death Note, which I think is the thing that inspired the full series? I'm not quite sure. But I liked it.
Anyway, I missed your art very much. I'm glad you're still drawing. And this is reeeeally good. For some reason the thing I noticed most was the detail in the pants. Very well done.

Very awesome, Shelley! You really did a great job with Ryuk, almost a spitting image of him from the manga! And the exaggerated perspective with Light's hand and the apple is nicely done.
Was it because of what happened to L? I know that a friend of mine stopped reading the manga after what happened to him. But it was a bit confusing how all that played out though. I think I'll have to go back and read that over again... lol XD

It's not because of what happened to him, but just how the story progresses afterwards, it loses it's interest at that point. Probably because I don't like the new characters that are introduced and how it plays out.
